Send your kid here if you want them to become a drug addict. My freshman was given drugs by upper class men on a daily basis. These were kids who were athletes and band members, the kids who my kid hung out with because she was involved with the programs. Drugs are everywhere. My kid told me she did drugs in the bathrooms as well in class and she never got caught once. Her grades were decent but when I pulled her out of the school I learned she is far behind where she should be. I regret sending my kid here.

I removed my child from another school due to academics and choices for electives. Very satisfied with what this school has to offer. They may have a low great schools score, but please look at the actual reviews from parents compared to schools with high great schools score and their reviews.

Great experience with Granite Hills High School. My daughter loves the school, teachers, classes, and after school activities. She enjoys the AP classes and their teachers. My daughter excelled at Granite Hills. She even joined the Powder Puff Football for two years. Those were great memories for all of us.

I enjoyed my 4 years at Granite Hills High School. They offered a bunch of AP and honors courses. My teachers were willing to work with me when I needed extra help with topics I didn't understand. The school also offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Granite Hills also prepared me for higher education!

My experience has been this school is great if you're looking for college prep (a wide variety of AP and honors classes), Performing arts, culinary, and specific sports (track&field, crosscountry, tennis, and waterpolo) .Most who are critical of the school do not have student's enrolled at Granite, but have an ax to grind as they graduated from the town's older high school and since they graduated from that school so must there students.

Overall this school is okay. I only have 2 problems with it. The first being that some of my teachers don't teach me anything. All they do is just give me busy work. The second is that people keep stealing my belongings. I've lost 2 phones in the boys locker room in the span of 3 months. The first time is was stolen, it was in my locker and someone broke into it. The second time it was in the coaches office. Even then it was stolen.

I don't see how anybody could dislike this school. It's pretty awesome! One thing that upset me last year was seeing all of the special needs kids picking up OUR trash. They didn't make that mess. They're only having fun doing it because they don't know what they're doing.. Other than that I love this school. Our varsity football team STUNK last year. But our freshman team was great! Just think of when we're seniors our football is going to kill! All of our other sports are great also!! I definitely recommend this school to everybody.

I think this is the best school in the High Desert! This school really preps students for college. The kids are great but the teams except for baseball are not so good (like terrible, I never saw the football team win and I'm in the band x_x) I would suggest any student to attend this wonderful school.

It's sad to say that the thing that I like best about granite is my friends. But one thing that I think is cool is that some of the science teachers have live animals in their classroom, which I think makes the class more interesting. The library looks cool because it has a upper and lower floor, but students aren't allowed to go up there.... Then what's the point at having it. Yes you need an adult because some kids are immature, but then again some like to read books. Well about lunch, the food is ok, it really depends on what you get. I think granite could use some more trees and tables because there's 2000 students and definitely not enough places to sit in the shade. The entire last year I had to stand because all the sitting places were taken. We need some new tables or benches in the shade. The main thing we need is money. But I'm afraid that if we get money then we're just going to spend it on something stupid like that granite bolder. Who needs a giant rock when you could use that money for something so much more useful.
