I graduated a few years ago and I absolutely loves this school. I went k through 8th and I built some sort of connection with every single teacher and staff member. All of the teachers are super caring and I enjoyed the small class sizes. The teachers do an excellent job in teaching and much more. I always felt engaged in learning and the lessons being taught. I was also well prepped for high school. The teachers are also such nice people inside and outside of the classroom. I was always able to go to them I'd I had a question or if I just wanted to talk about life.

This school is awesome, teachers attempt to make learning as fun and easy as possible. Personally being here for 8 years, you can bond with your peers and teachers greatly. Although the school is so small, there is a lot of one on one learning. Being here for so long you can learn a lot about your peers and teachers.

I have been going to this school for almost 4 years, April 1st would be the anniversary for my fourth year. I have been bullied since I got here, so I would say that the students are not the brightest cookie in the oven. Yet the teachers, well most, are very helpful. My favorite teacher here has to be the current math teacher from 2018-2019 named Mrs. Massa. She is very helpful and is willing to answer all questions; she suggests for people to stay after and/or during lunch if they have any questions or need help. All the other teachers are just the same, yet most students don't use their recourses properly. Long story short, the bullying issue needs to be stopped and the teachers and electives are absolutely great; I am proud to have been called a brave for so long.

My 3 children attend Grass Lake with my oldest graduating this year. We have always loved the small class sizes where I feel my children have had more specialized attention when needed. I feel fortunate to know all the staff which promotes a sense of security in aspects of safety and the education of my children. We live in a very unique district located on the Chain of Lakes which offers more for my children’s lives than other suburbs can do. We are very excited for the new addition to be opening this year!

Our kids have been attending Grass Lake for 4 years. This is by far the WORST school they have attended. The teachers, staff and administrators do not communicate well with the parents or students. The discipline is nonexistent. The bullying issues are out of control and the education our children are receiving is ok at best. More then half of the staff acts as though they do not like their jobs and or kids. We have had many issues with this school. The well behaved kids are put on the back burner due to teachers not being able to control the students. I wish we knew how bad this school was before moving to this area!

This school leaves a lot be desired. We have experienced many other schools with our three older children and this school is by far the worst we have encountered. The communication between teacher and parent is non existent. I received a generic email from a teacher stating that the "whole class is doing very poorly". He have no indication on how he as a teacher was going to improve that. The administration claims that any child can come to them when a bulling incident happens, but then when the student does, they say don't come to them with such small issues. The problem is that it isn't a small issue to the child.

Great school they helped my daughters excel. We moved here from Morton Grove. They were ignoring mu daughters needs and did nothing about providing her extra help with math. We have lived in Morton Grove, Kenilworth, Glencoe, North barrington heights, Lake Forrest and in Golf. Fox lake has been the most peaceful, cooperative, understanding, careing, honest of all the school districts. The other districts keep their ratings high by quickly labeling children as ESL, Disabled, Learning impaired and extra. Their wealthy and are afraid of lower property tax revenues from lower exam scores. By having almost 77% of childrens exams exmpted from impacting their schools ratings by placing a lifetime label on a child is determental. Chicago public schools only have 3% of children labeled yet have 35% of all students are immigrants. Go wonder, Learn not to trust all ratings. Fox lake has only 1% of all children exempt from testing whereas some wealthier areas have almost 80%. Based on those results Fox Lake is hands down way better vand accurate.

I have four kids in this school, ranging from Pre-K to 7th grade. The school has been fantastic for us. We love the small class sizes, art and music programs, sports programs, dedicated teachers, and friendly kids. The administrators and teachers have been wonderful to work with even through the IEP process. I hope we can stay in the school boundaries till our youngest makes it through 8th grade.

I have three children that attend Grass Lake School. All three love going to school every day and are so excited to tell us about their day. The teachers are top notch. The PTO is one of the best I have ever seen. The principal is highly active and the school is kept clean and secure. A+
