We're only two years into going here, but we've had nothing but positive experiences. There's been some staff turnover drama apparently, but the new principal seems to be doing great and I think losing the old principal is a positive move based on what I've heard. All the teachers and support staff we've interacted with have been caring, engaged, and wonderful to deal with. It's hard to quantify if the learning has been as rigorous as a charter school, but our son graduated kindergarten able to read on his own and he comes home with lots of questions about space and math and the world, so I can tell they're continuing to feed his curiosity. They put on excellent events like the Halloween trick-or-treat event, STEAM nights, and various optional opportunities like a running club and chess club. Overall, it's been a wonderful neighborhood school.

We were always told RC is one of the best schools in Anchorage but after one year here, we are transferring our kid out. The principal (who is now retiring) was never any help if there were issues and would often times send an email that essentially said "tough luck" in a professional manner. They seem to focus heavily on test scores rather than helping kids learn in the way that is best for them and in turn, it creates low confidence in the classroom. The school lacks enrichment with the Kindergarteners not attending any field trips while other schools have gone on multiple. To top it off, the teacher we had this year hardly responds to emails especially if it is asking for information about programs (or lack of) and resources. Why this school keeps being raved about, I cannot know. It no longer host the programs or family interactions it once used to and it is not an encouraging environment for all kids to learn.

This used to be a fantastic school and the PTA is still good. The new principal ruined this school. There’s no continuity from one year to the next because so many teachers leave. Programs that helped students are gone because the principal didn’t like them.

I've had kids at Rabbit Creek for 8 years now and I'm impressed every year by the amazing things that go on at our school. Our teachers are great, all in for the kids. Our principal is all about the kids and is a frequent face in classrooms and is a great sport during assemblies and activities for the kids. Our PTA is strong with the community mind. The parents at Rabbit Creek our common faces during the week assisting teachers and volunteering for special events. Our building may be old but the beauty lies on the inside.

I am so pleased that I chose to send my kids to our neighborhood school. Rabbit Creek Elementary has exceeded my expectations in many ways. The school community has been very welcoming the teachers are easy to communicate with and the extra that the PTA is able to provide are diverse and plentiful.

Rabbit Creek is a wonderful school because of the dedicated staff and supportive community. The parents in our school work hard to form a partnership with the staff to create the best possible learning environment for the kids. They volunteer countless hours to provide opportunities for all students to grow both academically and socially. Tara G.

Love, love, love this school. Love the teachers, the adminstrative staff, the organization and cleanliness, the high expectations, and the repect for the special needs kids. I have children at different nearby elementary (Bowman and Huffman) and they can't compare. I can't rate the new principal because I haven't had any personal interaction with him but the previous one was awesome.

I love this school and thank God everyday that at least one of my children gets to attend here. The teachers and staff are phenomenal and you are always welcome. The extracurricular activities are so much fun that my children attending other schools always look forward to Rabbit Creek events more so than their own. I hope the new pricipal can live up to previous priciple's very high bar.
