We toured this school in February during a kindergarten event and the principal showed us around. It's a nice school and seemed well cared for. The principal was very nice and answered all of our questions and concerns. Every teacher or staff member that I have interacted with have been kind and helpful. My daughter is going to kindergarten and her teacher Mrs. Eikenbary and TA Mrs. S. are amazing. My daughter loves seeing her teachers everyday and they care about their students. Even with classes being online so far they have taken the time to help my daughter whenever she needs it. We also love that we can still get library books every week!

My son who is kinder got injured at this school in gym class broke his elbow and currently on a cast because of negligence of they're Gym instructor. My son's got discriminated on this school so many times. Couples weeks before the incident my son got dropped off to a different place from their new trained bis driver. Will never recommend this school to anyone. Principal demand my son's primary teacher not to speak to me regarding my son's situation. This is totally not safe school at all. I'm talking based on my 6yr old son real experience at this school.

I am greatly impressed by this public elementary school. My son was in 2nd grade last year and came in at the start of the 2nd semester as we had just moved back to Anchorage after 7 years (prior military). Before school had even started, his new teacher, Mrs. Morris, emailed and called me to discuss getting to know my son, to see if he would be a good fit for her combination (2nd/3rd grade) class. She seemed to genuinely care about her students, and I was excited for him to start. While the school (and our son) is not perfect, I believe it is a step above other public schools that I have experienced where every kid is treated the same or just as a number/lost in the shuffle, etc. I am able to call or email the teachers/principal anytime, and have had great experiences communicating with them. The school is very clean and well kept, the teachers, staff and principal all seem very involved. PTA is also very active. My son is back for 3rd grade, with Mrs. Morris again, and is doing great. They even have a one month cross country running program they started recently that my son is participating in after school.
