On paper, this school might seem great. Behind closed doors and after you start paying tuition, not so much. For the most part, the staff were welcoming. Learning: My child always was well above the standards. My child wasn’t given homework because exceeding standards. I would have preferred kid be provided homework as well to be provided a stable routine. I asked for homework be sent with nothing coming back.Teachers:Being a private school, there is lots of turnover in teachers. Luck of the draw, but my kid was always the unlucky one being placed in a new teachers class rather than an experienced teacher at the school. Even if each grade had one new and one old, teacher, my kid always was placed with a new teacher.Specials: The school offers a variety of specials, which is a bonus. PE is only offered twice every 7 school days, which seems below recommendations. If you are a male, it’s a warning that music teacher will treat you unfairly. My kid has been targeted and I never got an explanation why such harsh remarks for my well- manored kid. Kid has been punished as well due to music teacher. In a previous school, my kid was never treated this way.Extracurricular activities: The school offers sports starting at kindergarten. Lack of clubs was a negativeHSA:They offer a few items per year. But everything is at a cost to each family at each event also. Recess: Kids shouldn’t be punished for petty items. Research shows daily recess increases academic standards for students.Lunches: This school has opted to not offer free and reduced lunches ( even for low income families), so be prepared to pay $4.50 per day per student. Even if the district can provide free lunches, this private school is not opting to offer the free/reduced programs. You must preorder a week before and no refunds if kid is sickPrincipal: This review was written in year 2024. Previous principal made this school a happy and welcoming environment. The current principal is awful and does not address concerns presented from concerned parents.I honestly cannot recommend this school to anyone looking into private schools. The administration are rude. Teachers are removing recess from select students ( males), and concerns are not addressed.

I went to St. Benedicts and so did my 3 children. We were so happy with their education and preparedness for high school. St. Bens is also a very nurturing, encouraging environment which served our children and us well! We miss it!

I personally would not recommend this school to minority families . My family experienced racism on many levels . We as a family were singled out on several occasions. Several times staff spoke to my children inappropriatly as well as sent messages through them for myself , this continued after asking the staff not to. Once I informed the school that I planned to transfer my children my children's books were taken from them , they were questioned by the staff without contacting myself in regard to when their last day would be . Upon my arrival at dismissal my children were sent out with their nap mats , changes of clothes and art work. This happened only a quarter through the school year and none of the supplies that I had sent in were returned when they were pushed out . The only explanation for this poor behavior and treatment of my children that was extended to me was that it was not meant to be malicious . My children did not deserve to be treated in this manner and this last act of ill will toward them solidified my decision to remove my three children from the school.
