This is an awful school. They say they are against bullying and that they are all bull dogs yet they allow cliques in this school. It's elementary school. Not high school. My daughter is bullied and called names. The teachers haven't done anything about it. The teachers allow a group of children to be called the "boss squad" and told the children not to tell us parents about it. Well guess what they did. Then the teacher lied to me and said she knew nothing about this said "boss squad".

We love Pleasant Valley Elementary! My child has had exceptional teachers. They have Music and P.E. classes that host programs and events. We moved to this area so he could attend Pleasant Valley and I am so glad we made that choice! All of the staff go out of their way to be supportive and develop relationships, not only with the students, but the parents also. Go Bulldogs!!

Overall I was happy with the school this year. I did however have a huge problem with my child's work being graded properly. I alway have my child rework math problems she misses, and try to help her learn what she's doing wrong. Here's my issue...I noticed on papers that were labeled as tests had problems marked wrong that were absolutely right...more than one on each test (she missed 3 and 2 were actually right). I let it slide but I began to notice it on homework and tests every week. I throw them away after working with her on them. Between my husband and I, we had niticed that on at least 12 papers. After consulting eith eachother the next day there were two tests and 3 homework asignments on which she should have made 100's and was marked down as missing 1 to 3 on each one...so we made the decision to take this group of papers in to the teacher and have her change the grades in the gradebook. The teacher was nice about it and said she would. She blamed it on the answer keys. Which was an unexceotable answer...it's second grade math...there's no excuse...I wonder what my girls true average was in class without all the mess ups!
