Love Milton High School! This school definitely prepared my child for college. Tough but fair teachers. Milton focuses on the whole development of the student and has an incredible network of caring parents that drive many after-school programs to excellence. And the school looks gorgeous. Google it and you will see a picture of the beautiful white columns.

My daughter graduated from Milton HS and my son is currently attending. My experience as a parent has been very disappointing and frustrating. The school is under staffed, the counselors and teachers don't seem to care, they are unresponsive, the school always smells like marijuana smoke and overall it feels like an overwhelming and chaotic environment. The focus is on football and athletics and for students not participating in sports, it's difficult to make friends and connect. My son has been sad, lonely and suffering socially and academically since starting at Milton. He hates going to school, I've reached out for help and advice multiple times and my emails and voicemails are ignored or dismissed. The environment seems to be getting progressively worse and I think the new charter schools in the area are negatively impacting Milton by dividing the local student population and loss of funding and resources favoring the many surrounding public charter schools.

Milton HS offers something for everyone in regards to reaching and exceeding potential. From academics to clubs, extracurricular activities, sports, theatre, drama, cirque, choir-there’s a niche for all students there. The administration and specifically Principal Jones is wonderful. You can tell he genuinely cares and wants all his students to succeed. My last one just graduated and is off to college now. Great school!

Both my kids studied at Milton. The school gives students enough opportunity to students to excel in academic as well as non-academic areas. Some of the great programs include gifted/talented internship, the choir / drama programs and some of the excellent sports teams.

This school is very Type A, but is large enough that everyone can find somewhere that they fit in. Lots of AP’s, but lots of really great extra curricular activities as well.

In all honesty, I wish I went to a smaller school where the AP and Honors kids weren't so separated and glorified, and where I knew my peers better.

Very sad to watch an outgoing teen be crushed by this new environment.

Overall it is a good school. My son felt safe, and the educational demands were challenging without being overwhelming. There are all sorts of kids but for the most part everyone is just trying to get good grades. It is a pretty academically minded area.

All the work here is vigorous and prestigious to help me get ahead of the game and get a jump start on my career. I'm going into the 10th grade year taking Honors Accelerated Pre-Calculus, a course most people take the freshman year of college. Also, the athletics and arts programs are ALL superb. This is the type of school that will make sure you achieve highly and still enjoy your high school life, because these are the years we'll miss the most. It really is like one big diverse family because we all know each other. If you're moving to town or just looking for a school to change to I HIGHLY recommend MHS, you won't regret it ;) REP THE M!

after having 3 kids graduate from Milton, I know what I'm talking about. Your children will be well prepared for college - mine all have excelled away from home, and 2/3 were students that have to work very hard. A school like Milton has the ability to offer niches for every student - the drama, theatre and arts department is unbelievable and is supported by the entire student body. The athletics remain strong-several state championships have been won, both while my kids were there and also after their graduation. Lets face it - nothing is perfect and our job as parents is to step back and let our children grow and prosper with our guidance FROM AFAR. Milton gives your kids that ability - there are some fine, fine teachers there and we were more than happy with the experience. I have found over the years that clingy parents only hurt their kids. Although Milton encourages parent involvement, we need to remember to let this be our kids' experience.

We purchased our home specifically for this school and could not be more disappointed. Much apathy from teachers and administration. My child was much more challenged in her former high school...especially in English. I'm really shocked this school has a "9" rating.

Milton High School excels in all dimensions. Academically, the school has experienced helpful teacher. Numerous advanced and AP courses are offered. Exceptional extracurricular programs abound. The school also has the only public Cirque high school program in the country.
