Excellent teachers, carrying staff. The school could use more resources to improve student:teacher ratio and update the buildings.

I’m disappointed with the school after having some high expectations. Our experience is one of worksheets, worksheets, worksheets. In depth or hands on learning that contribute to deeper complexity and understanding was not present. I’m hoping my inquisitive, creative and bright kid isn’t turned off from learning because of this. The school seems to mistake “academics” with old school sit and drill and packets of homework, so a decade behind the times. Communication during a closed campus is not a priority and so parents only hear about progress at parent conferences despite us missing out on more interaction due to a closed campus. I don’t even see learning goals sent home. )-: M

Great, my daughter is proud and happy. I wish they had field trips though. It can pass the entire school year without even one.

So far it’s been great. My son just started Kindergarten and within a few months I can definitely see that he’s progressing with phonics and Can read simple sentences!!

The yard supervisors need to be nicer. My child complained to me that the yard supervisors seemed to be hired only because of the low cost. My child also doesn't like the food in the cafeteria and the school staff.

In the first year we are at the school, there has a been a lot of drama. The 5th grade teacher Murga is not a good teacher. She doesn't challenge the kids. She states that she does not like math. She favors certain kids only and demeans others very notably. This teacher needs to mature a lot. She is like a teenager herself. She is very rude and petty. She is nosy as well, about the children's personal life. There is a lot of politics at this school. There are a lot of mean girls and a lot of drama at this school. Intellect at this school is very low. However, the after school programs AYC and Spark are good programs.

Overall I would not buy a house in this area for this school or district. They do produce decent test score but they are solely academic focused. They do very little to create a positive environment for families and children. The place is so dusty and outdated. They don’t spend any money in maintaining the school. I am embarrassed by the appearance.

I was so excited for my son to attend Martha Baldwin Elementary. However, our experience was such a sharp contrast to the hopes that I had for his experience. I believe this school rests on its academic laurels. It flaunts its past Blue Ribbon school status, but the whole place wreaks of stagnation and indifference. The kindergarten playground was a dilapidated hazard while the classroom my son "learned" in was dank, dark, and lifeless - just like his experience at Baldwin. I am so thankful that I moved and took my son to a truly great school that recognizes and nurtures the abilities of students while celebrating their differences. The complete opposite of our experience at Baldwin Elementary.

The school is awesome. My daughter attended TK under Mrs. Aguire . She is a fantastic teacher. The principal knows what she is supposed to do.We moved to another state but still my daughter misses this school and her teacher . The process of teaching adopted by the teacher was very very professional .

This school is absolutely horrendous. I took my daughter here and she was bullied by a PARENT. I mentioned this to the principle and she did not do anything about it. I would definately NOT recommend this school to anyone. Plus, the teachers are complete idiots. The years my daughter stayed here were the worst years of her life. Do NOT go to this terrible school.

I was currently in class Mrs.murga. She prepared us very well but I would be up till 12:00a.m. Trying to finish the homework given with my moms help and it was ridiculous. That wasn't even the Worst part every time there was a open house or back to school night my mom did not see her no she spoke to the substitute. It was my worst year at Baldwin.Although every year except that one was wonderful!!!

I have two kids in Martha Baldwin Studying in 5th and 2nd grade since 2 years. They are doing good and very much happy with teacher and Principal. I am getting excellent behavior from administration when needed. I found School has more focus on Math and Social Science rather than Pure Science. I would like to express my best Wishes for future days.

I expected this to be a great school for my son to attend but quickly realized quite the opposite. Last year as a kindergartener my son had a teacher who was clearly far over being a teacher. She was down right mean and had no tolerance for children. Thank God she retired but unfortunately not soon enough. This year is no better. My son's teacher is not at all involved with helping students individually. Most kids who attend this school go straight to an after school academic program where they are receiving their real education. So for the ones who are not they are certainly being left behind. The homework my son brings home is a joke. Just pages of redundant picture drawing. I sat down and talked to my son's teacher with no accomplished resolution. Overly frustrated with this administration.
