Teachers don’t care…if your child has learning difficulties don’t expect the teachers to care. They will tell your child that he/she is a failure by giving them a bunch of F’s…failing grades are okay with them…sad place to get an education

Baker has provided both of my kids with a wonderful educational experience. The teachers, administrators and staff are second to none. We have been lucky enough to have our kids build foundations and relationships that are diverse, inclusive and creative! Baker Elementary is a wonderful school with wonderful programs.

Admin is does not care about the non white students. Teachers have no patience for non white students. Their main goal is to create negative records for minorities and do everything they can to excel the whites.Would not recommend for non whites. If you are white no need to worry your child will be safe and well cared for.

Each year this school gets worse. I have not met every single staff member there but I’ve met a fair share of them. From my experience, some of these teachers have no business teaching children. Also, there is an older lady that works in the front office who is a nightmare. Rude is an understatement. The unfortunate thing about it is, your issues won’t be addressed and no one seems to do anything about unprofessional behavior from staff. I’m very displeased at the way issues are handled here and the lack of compassion they have. Be prepared for your child to come home crying because they were yelled at in a manner not even an adult should have to experience. Definitely some inequality present and lack of concern going on in this school.

My son Loves this school. My daughter will be going in the next few years. Awesome community overall!

My experience is neutral. I take my child's academic success seriously and have spent a good amount of time at Baker volunteering, communicating with teachers about my child’s academic success, and staying on top of it. For the most part, my child does very well here, because I hold teachers accountable. My biggest concern is not having enough minority faculty and leadership present at this school. In summary, there is a lot of potential at Baker, but leadership needs to recognize the changes that need to made for the better of the student and not what is comfortable to you!

My daughter has been at Baker since Kindergarten. Wonderful staff. They keep the students and parents very engaged with activities and assign homework that is pertinent to learning.

My son went to Baker a few years back and I waited to rate the school because I was so utterly disappointed in the school. Prior to going to Baker my son was being considered for the gifted program after just 1 year at Baker he was behind on many subjects... on top of that my son was bullied, put into comprising situations, and was treated terribly by the staff. As a parent I was treated terribly by the staff with the exception of his teacher. His teacher even agreed that we should move out of the district.... the administration staff is a joke, the principle only cares about her own preservation and growth which lends to a lot of issues in every facet of the school. A child was even accidentally locked out of the school after recess one day, came in in tears.... that child had been left and wasn't even noticed to be gone... I could go on and on with all the issues we ran into with Baker but I'm not here to write a novel. The curriculum is unacceptable for the teachers and students. I hope for the kids sake they can get it together at some point.

My daughter is in 5th grade at Baker Elementary and she loves it there. She has been attending Baker since 3rd grade. We have had minimal complaints about this school. Our main issue was with her 3rd grade teacher, she seemed to jump around often with lesson plans which left my daughter feeling lost on some homework assignments.

not happy with teachers at all, front desk staff if also very rude, most of the time ignoring your even there. the events they have for the student is nice and fun for the kids but that is it. definitely have been teaching my child more at home then he has learned in school.

This school has so much potential. It just needs a better principal. Baker is so far removed from their students lives it is sad. If it's not during school hours then your child is not important. Allison Broughton appears fake and it seems that she only cares about her paycheck. This is our second year here and it's worse this year than it was last year. Twice I have paid for field trips, but none have been taken. Seriously?! I told myself last year "Next year will be better ", but man was I wrong. My child started this year knowing every single site word, but has been forced to stay in the same pace as the other kids. There is no support. There is no guidance. There is no effort put in by the leaders of this school to make sure the kids that are further along actually advance. There is a select few that actually deserve to be staffed at Baker. This school should be closed until a new administration has been built. Period. Next year we will apply for school choice.

This school has a lot of opportunities and activities for kids to develop good habits and brain training. The poor performance of some kids is pretty much laziness, lack of interest and love of some parents. This school has all the tools, take as much as you want..!

The Special Education teachers and Paras lack care and concern after Pre K. Also ask questions during IEP meetings if not will switch things around without your consent or inform you at very last minute. Also for General Education no homework really is given poor communication as well unless you are an active parent and you don't value education pick a better school No to Baker..

I have been very impressed with the school for the most part until this year. They have an awesome gifted student program. They have an awesome special education program. I have a child in each. My concerns about racial insensitivity (to put it lightly) were completely blown off by a 5th grade teacher and administration. This is not a problem throughout the school that I have found. Just a few issues. Overall a good school. Could use racial sensitivity/educational training.

My son has attended Baker for 3 years and everyone has been great about providing him with the services he needs. There is a very caring learning environment and I am glad we are part of the Baker family.
