Current principal is toxic and a bully. She is biased and chooses what teachers to dictate and what families she will be nice to. Families and staff have left because of her. The turnover rate of teachers should be an OBVIOUS sign!!!!!!!Sad to know this is supposed to be a religious school and it's so toxic......

as a former student at saint michaels, i will share myexperience. i was bullied horribly, and sister johnpaul, the principal said "that's just how middleschool boys are", brushing the situation under therug. she was extremely disrespectful to both of myparents, and lacks key communication skills that aprincipal should have. every year MANY teacherswould leave, no one ever really stayed. please donot send your children here, it is such a traumatizingenvironment and is not worth it. the administrationis motivated by the money, and they do not actuallycare about the students and families

I enrolled my children to this school thinking they would be in a Catholic "Christ like" community. Our first year at the school was also the first year that Sister John Paul became principal. The handbook violations, overly strict uniform enforcement, bullying, and lack of inclusiveness and diversity was shocking. The school would not address the continual bullying atmosphere. Favoritism was obvious to the children, as well as to the parents. When new children started at the school, whether they be in elementary school or middle school, we often did not see them return the following year. We witnessed most of the teaching staff disappear from the time Sister John Paul began, through the year we left (2020). My children did have a few teachers that they truly loved, but only one of those teachers remain. The school greatly lacks extracurricular offerings (other than sports). Alot of the teachers that used to be there were good teachers, but the administration was poor.

The principal is only oriented/motivated by money. She didn’t know my family existed until we were late paying tuition. She doesn’t care about her students, and if I could give the school 0 stars I would. They have a major bullying problem, and the staff will watch it happen and support the bullies.

My kids love the opportunities for experiential learning. The field trip is alive and well at St Michael’s. My 3rd grader had Worthington history come to life at the Orange Johnson museum. My 4th grader saw first hand the State House to experience the legislative branch of our government. The crown jewel was the Underground Railroad Learning Station at the Kelton House Museum.

Leadership under Sr John Paul at this school is very poor. There are safety concerns at this school and academic concerns. Students are harassed about dress code. A recent religious event was completely overshadowed by the students being harassed about what they were wearing. Several safety violations are being seen by staff and parents.

The school's teachers are the best. Families are all close community. Administration has changed over the years and school has too but not always for the best. Need to listen to all families not only some. Hand picks school advisory board members that administration likes and are all like minded. If you try to talk about any problems they are defensive and refuse to listen. No school is perfect so why act like it is

Having our children attend St. Michael Catholic School was a wonderful decision. We absolutely love this community and the Administration who works tirelessly on our children's behalf. We highly recommend St. Micahel Catholic School if you are looking for a faith-based school that will enrich your whole family's life.

The principal Sr. John Paul is not qualified. I've been here for years and she changed the school for the worst. She gathers a group to support her and is mean to others

The principal is not Sr. Mary Michael, she was excellent! The current principal is has a huge problem relating to people and even talking to them. She is fake and cold to most people, unless you are on her good side. It is a mistake and the school is falling apart because of her. Also, most of the reviews on Google are from her school board. They are not true reviews.

The junior high grade levels 6-8 are not given semester final exams. My student has never faced final exams before. My student has never had test anxiety before now. My student is overwhelmed with the thought of finishing the quarter and preparing for rigorous final exams offered by one of the top high schools in Ohio. It would be helpful to assist the students transition to high school by preparing them to face semester finals.

I live in one of the best school districts in the state. I used to be able to answer people with conviction that my two children who graduated from SMS were getting a superior academic course of study along with a strong faith based foundation but I can not say that anymore. Adminsitrative changes, standard based grading throughout the diocese, large teacher turnover, common core adaptations, losing Math Concept Program and no longer having final exams in junior high grades are all factors. I do not believe there is added value in the education the children are getting in any grade at SMS. I would encourage you to visit and ask many questions. Spend a day visiting classrooms in session and lunchroom. Watch the behavior of the children in line into cafeteria and leaving. It is now much more faith based than academic. New teachers are hired right out of college and honestly it's not easy for a young teacher to begin their career teaching junior high children and I do not believe the teachers get support from administration. My last child just graduated 2016 and I do not feel he is well prepared for high school. I've brought these issues up with admins traction but they simply do not reply to the emails. When I tell other people now my child just graduated SMS they have sympathy for me. It's s good fit if you are looking for a strong religious upbringing but do your homework before you pay $4000 per year for an education from SMS.

My 3 kids go to this school and I love the fact that my kid are growing knowing God. For me this was a priority! I myself went to catholic school and I feel privileged. Academically it is good school. One thing I would change is AR point is not encouraged as it use to be and I would like to see it reinforced -back again. It is great way to make kids love to books and tuck what the read.

Sending our daughter to the St. Michael preschool was one of our best parenting decisions! She has grown so much spiritually and academically. She loves preschool and we are confident she'll be ready for the challenges ahead in kindergarten and beyond.

We feel blessed that our kids are at St. Michael. The teachers and families are wonderful. The education is excellent but most importantly, Christ is at the center of their education. We started in a good public school system and we knew there was something missing... spirituality.

I am very thankful for St. Michael and there commitment to outstanding academics and authentic Catholic teaching. Having the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist is a true blessing! This makes us unique to other Catholic schools in the area and really sets us apart.

I couldn't imagine a better learning environment or family atmosphere than St Michael. Both of our kids love going to school and are embracing all aspects of their church life.

If you want teachers who truly care and work as hard as it takes to meet your child's needs, this is where you want to go! I've never met a more caring group of people who take their jobs so seriously! My children have been receiving a great education year after year!

The academic instruction as well as the religious component at St. Michael School are top notch. My children love St. Michael School, and we feel a truly amazing sense of family there. Parents are encouraged to get involved throughout the school, and the atmosphere is full of life. Students are kind and courteous, and staff members are very responsive and helpful. The preschool program at St. Michael is fantastic - academically challenging but also nurturing. My daughter is excited for preschool every day!

I have been a staff member at St. Michael School for over three years now. The Community is incredibly supportive of the education happening within the walls of this school. Students are eager to learn academically and have thrived within the differentiated environment provided by the teachers. They want to be the best they can be by living the virtues. I'm proud to belong to St. Michael's!
