AMAZING SCHOOL !!! My daughter is graduating this year, and we are so happy about all these past years. She was loved and respected during all 5 years she studied at this amazing school. :)

My 5-year-old daughter studied at that school, I had to withdraw her, the teacher assigned her the mistreatment (she gave her such a strong handshake so that my daughter would stay calm that it made her cry, then I saw how she pulled her backpack and yelled at her) not to mention the mess at the cafetería. 10 points for that school? they have it because they hide what happens

We have two special needs students at this school. They have met all of our expectations and have been super helpful. When you advocate for your Childs needs , things get done quickly. Teachers are super friendly and will work with you .

If you are new to the area I suggest you run away from this school! My child went to this school just two days! That’s all it took! Two days! My son came back anxious, displaying aggression and frustration! I’ve never seen my son like this! Ever!!! He then told me that on his very first day of school he was placed on a time out corner because he decided to play with his tablet instead of following directions. A kindergartener? Really? the very first day of school? Thank God for the remote opportunity I quickly called his old school and placed him back! Children know when they are liked and when teachers truly have the best interest for them. My son was so scared! My 5 year old baby! It broke my heart! This school has no equity pedagogy in place! No social emotional curriculum! Disturbing overall! Please run from this school and listen to the reviews they are real!!!! I saw them and ignored it because I thought people were just being “picky” and “extra emotional” boy oh boy did I learn the hard way!

Our experience was one of the worst! The worst choice made for our son!!! Do not be fooled by the grade that the school has here, and see the reviews where they say they do not care about the child, that there is bulliyng in the school, mainly by those who should educate and direct the children! My son no longer wanted to go to any school because of everything we live! Terrible!!!!

If I could give it a 0 I would. They don't care about the children yet they claim they do. All they care about is how much help and money you can give. If you are not part of the PTO you don't count and nor does your children.

Overall, I'd say the school is doing a good job despite the incredible growth of the area. Two relief schools are being built in order to offload the pressure. While I would prefer my child have more freedom to be herself during the day, the need to ensure everyone stays on task and prevent disruption is important too. The digital communication can be overwhelming at times. I'm much older than the average parent and consequently have an aversion to important digital communication. I'm still trying to get a handle on all of it. There have been a couple times where I have missed things because it was in email instead of being written in the daily journal.

I am the principal of this school and I would highly rate the community and the students. The comment below regarding eating bread is totally false. The reason we have to rotate for indoor recess is due to the size of the school, the space available, and the safety of the children. Thanks to all of you who make our school one of the best in OCPS. We are proud to serve your students.

no good at all, not happy at all, can was ask to have this principal removed from this school today!!!! (can't stand a woman who is bullying the children in a daily basis and nobody says nothing????)

I couldn't be happier with IES. My daughter started kindergarten last year and it has been such a great experience!! I love this school, the teachers, the parents, the faculty! My child loves Mondays because she gets to go back to school and as a parent there is no better feeling!

I have found this school to be exceptional. Great communication and feedback. Very well organized. Close follow up on students and led by an outstanding principal Dr. Angela Murphy-Osbourne and her great team!

This school just opened in 2015 and I have a preschooler enrolled this school year. This school has been amazing. All of the teachers and staff are wonderful and communicate wonderfully. The PTA is amazing and the principal is a great leader. The school events and the school in general is very organized and safe. My preschooler and I both love independence elementary school.
