Our four children have absolutely thrived at Jefferson Elementary. We’ve had the most incredible teachers and support staff. The leadership our principal shows is top notch. We are so grateful for a school that has created a culture where all students feel safe, valued, and seen. Each adult in this building goes above and beyond for all students. The stem education program has provided our children with hands on learning opportunities that get them excited about learning.

Jefferson has a deep history of serving students and families with excellence. The teachers are incredible but their current principal lacks connectivity and empathy. WCS is a strong district and has incredible schools.

We love our school! The teachers and staff work hand-in-hand with students and parents to achieve academic success and inspire character growth. Jefferson has achieved A+ status for the last three years based on test scores. The special family group program emphasizes leadership and giving back to the community. This is a very special place!

Certain teachers treat LD children very poorly at this school. They sit in the room located in office or anywhere BUT the classroom. This school thinks they do not have equal rights to be in classrooms w the rest of their class and it is pathetic how they get by doing this.

Jefferson Elementary is one of the best elementary schools I have seen. My son loves it and seems to be excelling in his school work!

We have two children at Jefferson and are very happy there. The teachers and principal (Mr. Duncan) truly care about students, are open to suggestions, and do their very best each day. The only thing I wish is that there would be more parent involvement, however, many students come from families with 2 working parents, which makes involvement more difficult.

Jefferson Elementary School really makes a difference for the children and families in our community. It offers not only excellent academic instruction but high quality enrichment programs outside of the school day. The principal, Mr. Duncan and the staff are welcoming and have a high level of professionalism. Any questions I've had have been answered in a timely manner. Maybe the most important thing of all is that my daughter loves to go to school.

As a support staff member, I am honored to work alongside this group of very dedicated, caring teachers. I see them going "above and beyond" on a daily basis. They are creative and innovative as they seek to make the learning environment exciting and challenging for their students. Our principal is also amazing--firm yet completely engaging. The kids adore him! Jefferson is literally surrounded by Grace College, allowing education majors and others the opportunity to assist in an elementary school environment. Our students greatly benefit from the extra attention, especially in areas of one-on-one help. My own children were all Jefferson Spartans, so I have the unique, dual perspective of being a [former] school parent and an employee. I would not have chosen any other elementary experience for my family, and I continue to enjoy my own "elementary experience" every day when I come to work.

Fantastic school. Leadership from principal Duncan is very strong. School does a great job of creating a community atmosphere.
