Fights are almost every week and kids are wearing inoppropriate clothing. Overall IT SUCKS!!!

Principal Emery only cares about dancing videos with students rapping, girls with shorts. No dress code, no ethics. Toxic school with daily fights, vaping, bullying, profanity, selling drugs, nudity/sex in bathrooms. Academics is not a priority. School rating is 3 out of 10 in. Admin. need to have more disciplin enforced, as students are out of control. They negatively affect the few good students in terms of behavior, attitude, and development.

Excellent principal and teachers that truly care about the development and well-being of students both academically as well as socially. The school offers a variety of electives to meet many interests - STEM, theater, music, etc.

All of the negative reviews on this site are several years old. Gotha Middle is thriving! The atmosphere is positive and kids are happy to be at school and learning.

The current Administration has made this a wonderful learning environment and I would highly encourage parents to send their children here.

Our family's experience at this school has varied over the past 10 years (through 3 principals) from average to horrible to excellent now with Mrs. Emery at the helm. I am very pleased with how Gotha has rebounded from a terrible principal and think it will continue to improve over the next couple of years and will return to its A status. I am surprised at how low its rating is on this site and believe it will go up as parents realize how improved it is vs. a year ago.

The best school ever and no other school can top it

We have had a positive experience at Gotha and believe it is a good middle school. My gifted student has had interesting classes and been challenged in math, science and English.

My ‘gifted’ student received no additional support while at Gotha. No homework, no challenging classes and no one to ‘watch his back’

Zero this school needs a new leader with an effective plan to protect our kids from bullying

This school has administrators who are cowards. They allow bullying to occur regularly. They persecute kids who are different. And the police officer is in charge at their school.

Great year! The new administration this year has really made a huge positive impact on this school. Can't wait for 2015-2016!

If you are zoned for this school I would recommend trying any way possible to get out. The teachers are fine, but the administration is possibly the worst I've ever encountered. They are only worried about their rating and shuffling the kids out to make them someone else's problem. Discipline is outright ignored and the students well being are the least of their concern.
