Not the worst high school I could have attended but certainly not the best in education.

Fike is a good school that just needs some help with upgrading. Fike has a great band program and a wonderful director. They do need new intsterments and uniforms. I am a Band Mom and believe this money could help the band in wonderful ways.

This school as a great example of North Carolina having one of the most atrocious education systems in the United States. The teachers care about conformity and students following boorish rules than on the quality of their education. Very few of the teachers here actually show any enthusiasm for teaching. Regarding the quality of the average classes I would rank it at 45%. This school is merely an indoctrination center, they teach you to be just smart enough to pass the test but just dumb enough to think getting a good grade means you're smart. I'm lucky I started my education in a private school and spent the early portion of my school life in Broward County Public Schools, an education system that is one of the best in the country. If you value your children's education enroll them in a private school.

Complete lack of technology, sanitation, edible lunch room food, and intelligent teachers. The physical school is similar to a 19th Century mental institute. The computers barely work. The bathrooms never have paper towels. If the janitorial staff was paid based on how much time they spent working then they would get paid $0. If they were paid based on the amount of time they spend texting or talking on the cell phone, however, they would be rich.
