They don't address the racism and bullying issues at that school. They have gotten better, of course. And in the Ramp Up class, there is a great opportunity to talk about respect and how to treat others. Many of the things we have to do in Ramp Up don't matter in real life. What matters is the integrity of the people you put out into the world. There is also a drug issue, but honestly, that's just all high schools in America.I literally see people making fun of special needs kids, and they are in sports. Bullying and disrespect need to have consequences. When they let go of the world, they think their actions don't really matter, but they do.

I had a great education at Willmar HS. Prepared me well for college and beyond. I was involved with the music department, which is one of the best around!

I snuck out of the school successfully, probably almost solely due to the fact that I was part of the priviledged demographic of being white from a high income fsmily. Most teachers took no interest at all in msking learning interactive or enjoyable. Segregation is strong at the school. I recall very little interaction with people of other races, even though there was a very high percentage of hispsnics in my time at the school.Extra curricular activities seemed fully focused on highlighting the top performers, while not encouraging anyone else to participate, even when they showed a very strong desire to do anything necessary to contribute and improve.

This school has everything a stedent needs and more. The theater is amazing (wireless headsets, great sound system, comfortable seats) the grounds are kept nicely, new soccer field, etc... Central location, also it is right near the glacial lakes trail, the kids simply cross the road and can run track on the trail. Wonderful teachers, and a community that cares enough to sink loads of money into it, this is a great school.
