I agree with the review before me. The goal of this school is 100% to get the lowest kids up to (potentially) average - while the average and above average kids are not being challenged at ALL. The teachers are wonderful, but are being told to spend time with the lowest achievers (which there are many). We receive zero homework and my child is bored nearly every day and we can already see his test scores dropping from above average - closer to average. Which they are not concerned about at all. Again, goal is to have all kids reaching the "goal" line - not going above. It's pretty sad.

I was surprised to see the school received 4 and 5 star ratings...until I looked at the date of the reviews. All old reviews with 2009 being the newest. A LOT must have changed since 2009. While the teachers my children have had so far are GREAT teachers, I have issues with the teachers not being able to TEACH the kids the way they need to be taught. My child is WAY ahead of other children in his classroom, however the district has basically told us, he has to sit on the back burner because their concern is kids who are not passing the state tests. While I realize those kids need extra help to, it is NOT fair to STOP furthering my childs education because someone else is behind. This year they took away the Math class that helped the kids that were ahead. Thankfully the teacher fought to keep the RIT reading groups, otherwise the principal wanted to do away with both the Reading and Math classes. Overall, I'm finding the staff has no desire to help us keep our child interested in school. There are no extra activities/classes offered to children besides some community based sports. Thank goodness for great teachers, otherwise I'd rate this school 0 stars if i could.
