I went to this school from preschool to twelfth grade and the elementary school is fine. But the middle-high school is miserable. All the students disrespect the teachers, and they cant keep a teacher there for more than a year before they are forced to quit due to being mistreated. I can think of 6 different teachers, who were the best I ever had. But none of these teachers stayed for more than a year, and thats because they knew they are too good for this school. This place only cares about sports, and the arts are extremely under funded.I am not ashamed to say it; I hated WMHS.

I would say this is not a good school, why? because the educators and the principal don't even understand the education system that the students are being assessed on. The second reason? The students that joke with friends are punished more often than people that are actually bullying another student. Reason three? the education is not even close to personalized, and even after their multiple attempts to make it so it is still extremely lacking. As you can see the statistics are almost always below state average, and you cannot blame the students for that, and the only people at fault are the educators.

Williamstown Elementary and High School! All of my children attend both of these schools and I'm greatful to the school staff they have been a wonderful support to my family through out these years. They are a small school so the att. my children receive is amazing it truly takes a community to raise our children and they are a great support to our community.

The WIlliamstown School system may be rural but there is a lot of heart. There may not be 25 special offerings, but we do have the ability to work outside the box. Student are able to take class on line or at local college facilities. Yes, there may be some issues with teachers, but show me a school that doesn't. If a student wants to learn and their parents want to get involved then there are resources, opportunities and people to help. Both the elementary and the middle-high school have male principals. Things are changing for the good and the school, students, teachers and community are all making this happen.
