The elementary school is staffed by intelligent, caring people who strive to give each student what he/she needs. The fully integrated classrooms create learning environments for all students. Music, Physical Education, Art and Library are still important parts of the curriculum. The Jump Rope Club is a long-established, unique offering after school. There is also an after-school program that offers a place for many children to go until parents pick them up. The concerts and plays have been great successes over the years. Children's well-being and education are central to this school, and parents are able to connect easily with the staff in order to make an even stronger team for each student. All of our children attended this school, and our grandchildren will be doing so soon. The community is lucky to be served by such a great school. We are glad that we moved to Northfield

NES is a fabulous school. I was born and raised in Northfield and came through the same school system. I have one child who has graduated from NES and one who is still there and I couldn't be happier. The teachers and staff give so much to all of the students. The new principal is great and has brought a lot of great ideas to the school.

Our children have thrived in the Northfield Schools. We have been there for one year and we have seen a great improvement in overall grades and personal worth. These schools work to support the whole child, they teach them academically while supporting emotionally. I volunteer about 10 hours a week between both schools. Parent involvement is welcomed and really bridges the gap between school and home. The atmosphere at both schools is always warm and inviting. They truly try to make learning a wonderful experience for their diverse group of children.

Northfield has produced many successful alumni. Our children spent their whole 13 years in Northfield schools and did very well. Teachers work hard to accommodate childrens' needs and to respond to parent concerns and parents are doing well with being involved in the system. It is small town America for sure but provides good education all around, to children of all stripes.

I moved here this school year and my kids have skyrocketed! They were both low in reading and math coming into Northfield Elementary, but with the incredible work by their teachers, they are completing the school year at and above grade level! The PTO is great and there are wonderful clubs offered afterschool like the French Club and the Garden Club. The school production of Beauty and the Beast was quite impressive! Despite a bad reputation given to me by someone, I am MORE than happy I decided to ignore their advice and enrolled my kids into NES.
