Great teachers and education. Environmental friendly, winner of recycling. We have a plastic bag bench.

I have 3 kids in Norge and I am absolutely in love with this school! I am in real estate professionally so I hear and see a lot about people wanting to only live in a certain part of James City County to attend only a certain Elementary and High School and that some of the other schools outside of Motoaka or Jamestown High School are inferior. I'm here to tell you that is just simply not true! Norge has been an excellent school for us. I have had a child in the gifted program which has been wonderful and I've had a child that has needed additional support to succeed so I've seen both spectrums offered. The faculty and staff from top to bottom give 110%. I would recommed Norge to anyone!

The teachers and staff are amazing. We moved to Toano to change schools. I was afraid that my son would be behind due to terrible education he was getting in a Newport News school. I was overwhelmed with joy after his first parent teacher conference. The teacher helped him get to were he needed to be at and now my son has good grades and loves going to school. Could not be happier. The school also has many events for families to participate in. I have two more children that are approaching school age and I am very thankful they will be going to such an amazing school.

My child started kindergarten at NORGE last September ( 2014 ). He is so happy and I am thrilled with his progress and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, his class has more students than is ideal, but that is the majority of public schools in the US. I don't blame JCC for limited funding. Go Roadrunners !!!!!

My child goes to Norge. I think all of the teachers work hard but there is a lot of pressure on kids and teachers. I appreciate how much my child has learned, however. I think that we parents need to support our teachers and realize that learning starts at home.

Norge Elementary.. Very disappointed. Don't send your kids there if your child has been diagnosed by a doctor, they don't care at all. My child teacher screamed at my child and makes him cry. Very hard to deal with.

We just moved to VA this year. My girls are doing excellent at Norge Elementary. The teachers are excellent. My 4th grader said, Norge is the best school. I like how they do not sell useless things as fundraisers. It's small but an excellent school.

I have 2 kids at Norge (2nd and Kindergarten) and we love our school!! The teachers really care about the well being of the students and the administrative staff has always been friendly. The Norge PTA is fantastic and there are tons of great Norge Moms and Dads that are very involved at the school. My kids love it there!

I am the parent of a 3rd and 5th grader. Last year was our first year at Norge and I couldn't have been happier. Both of my children excelled with the leadership and caring of their teachers. Ms. Parker (now Kuklis) and Mrs. Darcy were excellent and I believe that Mrs. Pace and Mrs. Georgianna will both great for my children this year. They also both like and admire the principal and assistant principal. I only gave this school 4's because I believe everyone has room for improvement!

I am a mom of three children and this is our fourth year at Norge Elementary. Our oldest son just started third grade and it keeps getting better each year. The administration is helpful and supportive and really cares about our kids. The assistant principal makes it a point to learn every kids' name in the school - an impressive task with over 500 kids. We love being a part of this great school community and are thankful for the wonderful teachers our children have had over the last three years.

We have two at Norge, one in 5th and one in 1st. We love our Norge family. Sure like anything else in life it has its pros and cons but trust us the pros fair out weigh the cons. I am truly disappointed in the negative reviews although I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I have witnessed first hand the great care and attention special needs students receive and as far as the office staff, they are great, perhaps it was an off day or perhaps your own approach was cold and abrupt. I am happy my two are part of a such a great community!

Do not send your child to this school if they have special needs. The administration is not special ed. friendly.

I have two children that attended Norge for the past two years and we hate to leave it. The teachers are wonderful!! Both of my children were in speech and I have found the staff and all to be very exceptional in helping out in any way possible. The office staff is very diligent about the safety and care of the children and make sure no one takes a child without being the parent or an assigned person to do so. This school has been nothing but great and my two children now going into 5th and 3rd grade absolutely loved it there. To bad we are moving cross country! We will definately miss Norge and all their staff!!!
