My daughter went all four years to Whitefish. She was a three sport athlete and was able to go to college on a athletic scholarship. The school can be clicky and she only came in 9th grade but sports was the equalizer. It was a great experience with lots of parent support.

worst place ever please do not come here, Most teacher can't teach worth anything and only care about the kids that are book smart and the others that aren't just don't get help. And some teachers only care about the money that they are getting because of teaching when we are the future and the future generations to come. I would've transferred to a different school but I am a senior this year and its my last so I'm just sticking it out for my last year. But the homework is so dumb and give us a lot that don't really teach us anything at all. Most of the homework is honestly just busy work. If you want your kid to get a good education make sure they don't go to this school.

Are we a school or a penitentiary? We are so strict, we can not even go to the bathroom without an adult. I am 18, I should be allowed to go to the bathroom alone. I just do not know anymore and that makes me super super sad.

First off, the teachers. For the majority of them, they only care and cater to students who are academically gifted. For those who struggle, but still give a 100% effort, There is not much hope for them. There are some teachers there, that need to be let go but because of ten year, they stay. These teachers CAN NOT teach.

Lackluster in everyway. Administrators are unqualified and egotistical. Made the mistake of allowing my child to attend freshman year there - dismal results. Made the choice of moving him to Glacier High School in Kalispell - the focus there is on the students, as it should be. Whitefish High School is not a positive learning environment and the abjectly dismal test scores show it. New building won't fix the deeper problems in that school.

High standards and expectations for kids. Some excellent teachers. Some not so, pretty typical. Best thing- small class sizes, kids are noticed. A tightness because of small size. My child was well prepared to enter college. Main problem - principal is too controlling and does not understand that these kids need to be prepared to go out in the world and be equipped to make decisions. Hoping that will change as he learns to trust kids more.
