This school can't accommodate anyone who doesn't fit the traditional mold. They put things on their IEPs or 504s that sound great but then can't or don't implement them. They have poor staffing and kids leave in the middle of the day, do drugs are school (this is a K-8 school) and there is an outrageous amount of bullying with no bully prevention program. This school is good only if your kid is neurotypical and fits in the box. If you are looking for a place that can accommodate ADHD or autism this is not the place. I would say this school has done more harm than good to every one of my children.

The caring environment at this school is exactly what students need to support their learning journey, and the superintendent and staff go out of their way to make it a great learning place. Our students have felt at home here from the beginning and we feel safe sending them here. Other parents we speak with say they hear only good things about West Valley and wish their kids had a school like it where they live.

West Valley is a lovely school with wonderful caring teachers and principals. They have made many improvements in the last few years trying to strengthen academics and just completed a beautiful addition/renovation. I love that it goes through 8th grade. We moved here last year and our children adjusted seamlessly at West Valley. Every time I tell someone in the area where our kids go to school they respond with something along the lines of "Oh West Valley, that's a great school." The only thing they are missing in my opinion is a gifted program for advanced students. Other than that, it is a great school!
