We really like this school in many ways. The principle is AMAZING

Hopefully, I can change my review in the future to 5 stars however, they are beyond strict in certain areas and not so much in others which is why the reviews seem confusing. We heavily disliked the other local elementary so we went with this one. The good. Clearly, some of the teachers rank very highly in terms of best teachers in Florida. The Bad - They treat these kids like Middle-schoolers and choose when a kid is being bad or just being a kid. We will all run into these problems. What I didn't like was even when they know they are 100% wrong and have no facts to back up what they are saying they will 100% always side with the teachers. This is not how I am looking to raise my child however, I do feel the curriculum is far ahead where other kids in the state at the same age are. Your child will be more than prepared for Middle-school.

Above Average School whose principal cares about each and every student. Teahers for the most part are stellar!

Very disappointed with lack of support provided by this School, very mean teachers and staff and instead of inclusion all I saw was separation/seclusion. The mainstream teacher is a very rude woman and instead of promotes inclusion she promotes separation from the neuro typical children toward the ESE students. Very disgusted and appalled by the staffs behavior and ignorance toward the ESE Students. I am doing everything in my power to transfer/remove my child from such a disrespectful environment regarding the children with special needs. Constant idea infractions and no privacy they will talk badly about your child over radio no sense of decency.

I imagined that this school would be a great school according to the notion that Weston schools are really good. While they are indeed better than alot of other public schools in Broward County, I was still disappointed and underwhelmed. My child endured having a substitute get pulled in as a full time teacher who was just awful. She just needed a job and the school district was desperate and just pulled her in and said, here! just do the best you can! just watch 'em for the day if you can't do anything else! This lady should not have ever been placed in this capacity. She is completely out of touch with reality and is oblivious to child psychology and seems to take an old school third world country to treating children. So she initially has that barrier for a child to attempt to interact with and eventually unmotivated due to the resistance level that is inherently already there. I mean it's obvious she doesn't really want to do this. My child's expectations were entirely unmet. So, we were hoping the next year would be better. No such thing! While this different teacher was an established staff member- she has shown a similar lack of passion and gross disinterest of my child's experience. My child is gifted, and very mature for his/her age and therefore, extremely aware and perceptive of his/her circumstances. He/she has become very disillusioned by the lack of proper care of the staff and particularly his/her assigned teacher. His/her teacher shows preferential treatment which has upset us all very much! What is even more infuriating is the simple fact that the school district continues to push this illegal mask mandate which always results in even more problems, mask shaming and bullying. My child has extreme allergies exacerbated by the mask and has been utterly miserable because of this. The principle is indifferent to parental concerns and has no leadership abilities leaving the school seeming quite in adequate. We are very disappointed and are seriously considering homeschooling.

I love this school. We had an issue with some bullying and the principal, and multiple teachers got involved and met with us right away to come up with some great solutions. Mrs. Winder is amazing. We had a fantastic kindergarten year with a fantastic teacher and now my daughter is in dual language as a first grader and LOVES her teachers.

Indian Trace Elementary has been a great school. They have a great leader (the principal) Mrs. Winder. She is kind, understanding, positive, and try to help everyone out as much as possible. I am so happy that my son had her as a principal, Mrs. Chang as a 5th grader and Mrs Dubuc as a 4th grade teacher... We had only wonderful experiences here!

Both of my kids attended Indian Trace and had a wonderful experience. The size is also perfect for little ones starting their education... it is the smallest elementary school in Weston and that made a difference for my kids and for us. The teachers were amazing and the principal is super involved and caring. My oldest missed the new principal.... so reviews from 2013 and later might be different than the new ones. The importance of positive and innovative approach to education can be seen when you enter the school. The PTA is also super in helping the kids and school. And that says a lot about the kids who attend the school... great parents = great kids :) Highly Recommend Indian Trace!!

My son is finishing 3rd grade and has been coming to Indian Trace since Kindergarten. His teacher this year Ms. Charron is wonderful, she pushes the kids to their full potential in a very caring way. Mrs. Brown the Assistant Principal is fantastic! Everyone in the staff at that school cares about the kids and knows everyone by name. While it is one of the smaller schools in Weston and it dropped from an A to a B due to th ridiculous FSA testing and other county curriculum changes - I'm confidant that my son is in the best elementary school in Weston! And the school grading will go up - but as far as capable caring teachers and staff ITE is the best! I am really pleased with his school and would highly recommend.

My son started Kindergarten this year and I love it! His teacher Mrs. Cruz is great, the staff and principle helpful. Only downside is that is now a B on the state ranking. But as a mom I am super happy with the environment and education level!

My 5-years-old daughter loves this school. Everyone there knows her by her name. Very friendly front desk and aftercare staff. My daughter's teacher Mrs. Damas is excellent and communicates with the parents several times everyday (even on the weekends) via Class Dojo. The principal and the assistant principal are the best in Weston. Dropping off the kids in the morning is very easy and organized thanks to kind staff that is always friendly and attentive. Special thanks to deputy Gittens for being there for our kid's safety.

Love this school! The teachers are great along with the staff. The Principal and Asst Principal are amazing and really down to earth. The staff encourage parent and student participation in events, making it a welcoming school. Also, parents receive schoolwide news on pretty much a weekly basis via an automated call and email. My kids attend the aftercare and love it. I enjoy how aftercare parents receive pictures via snapfish; gives parents a glimpse of their children's day.

Really happy with this school. It is the smallest in Weston, which is perfect for the little ones. The new principal is AMAZING! She is proactive and cares about the kids and the school. I only have positive things to say.

Really like the school, specially now with the new staff (including new Principal and key new members). In fact, they have a good structure, facilities but it depends a lot on the teacher / support you child have, and consequently the level of adaptation, motivation and development of your child. My 2 boys have just started on Gifted program and I can clearly see their faster development and excitement, as part of this great program. They both have excellent teachers. We are all very happy :)
