Great school! My kids are very happy here. They love their teachers and all of their special classes. There is a strong emphasis on kindness and being your best self. Great community, too.

There is a recurring theme at WHBSD that children with disabilities are not welcome there. As I write this, there is ongoing case against WHBSD that has been in the news for years. It is deplorable that this school district continues to deny much needed services to students who are disabled. Parents have tried working with the school, but their concerns about their children's needs have fallen on deaf ears. The only chance for a parent to be heard, is for them to file a due process against the district. It is very expensive and time consuming, which WHBSD is fully aware of, and it means that your child will go without services for months, and quite possibly, most of the school year. Why doesn't State Ed impose hefty fines against school districts who are wrongfully denying disabled children their services, FAPE, and ignoring what is written on their IEPs? A parent's only recourse is to file a complaint with State Ed against the District. It isn't enough. Things need to change now.

I moved to WHB specifically for the schools. I have been thrilled. The teachers are excellent. The principal (Mrs. Slover) knows every child by name and knows everything that goes on in the building. The school holds the children to high academic standards and is very quick to give additional support when it's needed.The school has an active PTA and a great sense of community and school spirit. I can;t say enough good things.

We moved here for the reputation- what a disappointment! It's great if your parent teaches in the school, or your kid is a bully...but if you actually bring up your child to be well mannered they will be bullied from day 1! Nothing done to better character education....and should your child be disabled and qualify for a service- good luck! Administration will fight you tooth and nail so do your research! We never should have believed the hype- it has been nothing but a disgusting eye opening experience.
