My son says he is bullied a lot and I feel like the duty aides allow things to get out of control during recess

A very disappointing 2021-2022 school year. We just completed our third grade year here at Emerson Elementary as part of the gifted program for Westerville City Schools. We thought an enriched classroom structure and being with like-minded peers would help further grow and develop our student. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all. We had zero guidance through the process of this program. The school did not offer my student support or feedback to grow and further development our student. There is a serious lack in academic foundation and structure. We also observed several behavioral incidents in and around the school this year. My student reported on several occasions a lack of control in the classroom, where students were just talking most of day unable to get work done. We had very little communication with teachers on our student progress. When asked, we were advised to check online portal for grades. This would not include grades on projects or tests... only grades for the term. Parent teacher meetings or progress reports, all amiss. It didn't feel like student success was the priority for all parties here. This was a big disappointment for us as parents. Please do your homework if you're considering this program.
