Horrible school. I got bullied there and I don't think my teacher noticed. The teachers there was also horrible. But the learning there was fun.

With hard work and dedication, this beautiful school was on its way to becoming a valuable change agent within a struggling community. With structure and high expectations, the children were viewed as young human beings with unlimited potential. This school year, however, with a change in top administration, Hope has become an extremely negative and demoralizing place. The new Principal completely dismissed the value, advice and wisdom of key staff members who were in place before she came, thereby, causing a complete downturn in the school's direction and progress. Very young students with behavioral challenges are treated by the Principal and certain office staff like "puppies in need of training" -- meaning their inappropriate (and physically aggressive) behaviors are reinforced with "treats" and the promise of more if they behave. Some noncompliant students have been treated like criminals. Consequently, student behavior is out of control school-wide. Hope's children deserve so much better. The potential for Hope to rise back up is there. Thankfully, dedicated staff who realize that fact continue to try to "enlighten" the new administration and put Hope back on track.
