They're only solution for children is to suspend them. They don't try to mediate they're more for labeling a child and putting any and everything on there record. I plan on taking my son out asap. He needs to be properly educated instead labeled and kicked out every chance they get.

Great teachers..STEM is fantastic but look at grades communication and continuity between class expectation and coaching parents how to feel at peace with the swings in culture from elementary school middle and whatever this is.. we as parents were from k thru 4 knew every teacher administration as well as janitor.lol...slowly we transition to 5th and 6th which had active activities involving us and our kids and a note to teacher would be fine....now it seems without quarterly 4..5 minute parent teacher meetings rushed along and downloading a parent portal that is our only way to see what is happening in our kids grades....and then expecting a sensible or palatable answer from our preteen or teen that makes sense ....starts the insecure process of emails and notes and scary is what to do once the nonsense you assure yourself is A teen who says what he thinks you want to hear is the actual situation I want him to address is as nonsensical as he claims ..sadly I'll consider parochial education at 6th grade when my 3rd grader reaches that point...not teachers fault....honestly in efforts to better communicate we've created corporate environment...not home of Bailey family

I just graduated and this is the best school year ever the only sad part is that once you go to High School your friends may not go to the same one so i am going to miss everyone..

Bailey Middle School used to be a great school. It worked well alongside Carrigan to split up the two parts of West Haven. Now, it is our only choice if we would be in 7th or 8th grade. It doesn't have the same great teachers or their standards as before. Now, Bailey Middle School is mediocre, with only half its greatness as years ago. Kids today that live in West Haven wouldn't have a choice on where to go to if they didn't get into a Magnet School. This, I find to be unfair.

Unfortunately, if you plan to send your child to public school in West Haven, Bailey Middle School is your only option for 7th and 8th grade if you are not fortunate enough to get your child into a magnet. The principal is abrasive and not an instructional leader. Parents are made to feel like intruders in the school (if you are even allowed in the door). A few really excellent teachers, many mediocre to poor, who seem to believe that presenting and grading is the same thing as teaching. Very much a "sink or swim" mentality among most of the staff- if the student doesn't understand something, that is considered a student deficit rather than a potential teaching problem/dilemma.
