When I was a student at this school I felt like I was pushed into the IB program which was a lot of extra work and caused my grades to greatly suffer. While I am in college now it was not due to any help from Edgewood. I feel like if I had gone to West Covina High School or Baldwin Park High School I would have had more opportunities to pursue a trade or take part in a real AP program that has value to colleges unlike IB.

This school has definitely gone down hill since the class of 2014. The quality of teaching has deteriorated. Some of the best staff have left, and there has been inconsistencies with the staff, as well. It seems all the horrible teachers are left. Starzynski is long overdue for retirement, and is nothing but a grouch. The drama department is a complete joke and needs an overhaul, big time. It's a shame, because this school really did have potential.

My son graduated in June of 2015 and is on his way to Stanford. The teaching staff as well as the administration were always supportive. The International Baccalaureate program is definitely challenging--time management is probably the biggest issue--but if your child can manage their time well, Edgewood will give them the tools and support they need to succeed. My husband and I felt that our son was getting a private school experience at a free public school. The student body was incredibly supportive of each other with no real problems as far as safety, fighting, etc.

This is an outstanding school. The international bachelorette program has been a great challenge for my daughter. She has worked hard and she will be rewarded with an easier time when she starts Norte Dame University in the fall. Thanks Edgewood!

My daughter is a freshman, just completed her first semester. So far I am very impressed the staff and their dedication. Having left SJCA we see the same effort being put forth here at EHS. The curriculum here is challenging and necessary for our children in order to compete in a more complex world. Teacher to student ratios are low which in of itself is an ideal situation. There main focus is EDUCATION not sports. While sports competition is good, it can only get you so far. Quality education unlocks many more doors of opportunity. The staff at EHS has the keys to those doors.
