My two children had the most amazing years at this school. The leadership and staff are incredibly caring, compassionate, and focused on each individual child. In addition the teachers are extremely skilled and professional. My children received the best education foundation here.

We have been above and beyond pleased with Bloomfield Maples Montessori. If it is within your budget, it will be the best gift you can give your child. We stumbled across the school by chance because I was looking for a full day preschool for my oldest daughter when I was working full time hours not locally. We immediately fell in love with the concept of Montessori and how each student learns at their own individual pace in what they are interested in. The staff is outstanding and cares so much for your child. They genuinely want you to return to the school with your child for half days to help them feel like a leader and teach the younger kids. I can’t safe enough positive things about Ms Jeanette, Ms Beth, Ms Julia and Ms Sue. We are going to miss them dearly now that our youngest is moving in. However, the foundation they provided for my daughters is going to last them a lifetime and for that, I am forever grateful!

I adore this school and all of the teachers. My kids love to be there and I feel confident sending them. Since attending the school, my kids have all really soared. Their vocabulary, confidence and overall awareness has grown tremendously. The people of Bloomfield Maples gave my children what I couldn't, and thats the love of learning.

Horrible and our nightmare didn't end after leaving the school by choice. They passed on their horrible tactics to the new school.

This is such a wonderful school. The owner and teacher is a kind and caring person/educator. That is true for all the teachers and helpers from toddler classroom throughout all the pre-K and K classrooms. I've had 2 children go through the school starting in the toddler room through kindergarten. Both left the school with love for learning and love for their teachers. My 3rd child is in the toddler room and look forward to the next 3-4 years we'll be there. There is no school with staff like BMMC. They are like family. Each child is unique in their development and the BMMC teachers are very aware of developmental stages. They have experience with bilingual children and even some special learners. Also I should mention that both of my children that graduated from the Montessori are advanced in reading comprehension and math thanks to the foundation and education established and provided by the Montessori. They scored at upper level 2nd grade (almost 3rd grade) reading level when they entered 1st grade. They continue to excel in their current school.I highly recommend them. If you can't have family take care of your kids this is certainly the next best thing.

I fell in love with Bloomfield Maples Montessori at my first visit and they continuously make me fall in love even more. The entire staff is compassionate, loving and caring. Every time my son was having rough time they made sure to find something that he loves to keep him engaged and happy. My 3 year old is smart, polite, caring, funny and extremely independent kid and Bloomfield Maples Montessori toddler class helped him excel in all that.

Our twins enrolled at Bloomfield Maples Montessori at the age of 2 1/2 and just graduated Kindergarten and we could not be happier with this school!! In fact, we are very sad that our time here has ended and wish our children could stay longer. We were searching for a school that would not only provide them with an excellent education, but one that would teach them to be independent, respectful and conscientious individuals. Our children received all those things and more in a kind and loving environment. We truly feel like the teachers and teacher's aides love the children at the school and care about their well being and their futures. Our son started this school very shy and reluctant to speak to others (including his own aunts) and within one month, came out of his shell and amazed our families. He now easily makes friends, excels in Math and is intrigued with foreign languages and other countries. Our daughter has developed a passion for reading. When we toured schools last year for 1st grade, we realized she was reading at a 1st grade level at the age of 4! When they were tested at Detroit Country Day School, the teachers there were so impressed with them and delighted that they were going to start with such a strong foundation. This is a true credit to Ms. Jeanette, Ms Cheryl and their entire staff. The best about Bloomfield Maples Montessori is not only the academics, but the way they teach and function as an extension of our home. The values we teach at home are carried over into the classroom. Our children love to learn and love to go to school and it is because they feel safe, respected and loved. We cannot say enough about this school and feel truly blessed to have been a part of the Bloomfield Maples Montessori family.

My son Mario was at BMM for 2 years and I couldn't have asked for a better preschool for my son. The staff was exceptional and I'm truly thankful for a wonderful 2 years at BMM!

Our children have thrived academically and we could not be happier! We have been a part of the BMM family for a total of five years now. My eldest son was enrolled in the toddler program at the age of two. We have two children currently enrolled at BMM. Ms. Jeanette and her staff have done an unbelievable job providing our children with such a nurturing and safe environment. The care and attention our children receive daily by far exceeds any of our expectations. The curriculum that the school follows is nothing short of amazing which has helped develop exceptional skills in early math and reading. They have become confident, independent, and respectful young children who have a love for learning. The school has been a true blessing to our family and we are beyond confident that we have made the best choice at Bloomfield Maples Montessori. We will be forever grateful for the foundation you have set for our children!

I would like to respond to the review posted April 27, 2017. As administrator of Bloomfield Maples Montessori our goal is to provide the best care to all our students. That being said when we observe concerns about a student in our learning environment we feel it is necessary that we share our concerns with the parents. In respect to the parents we understand that this can be a very emotional conversation and although it could be simpler to not say anything we feel we are speaking for the child and have an obligation to express our observations. We recommend observing the child in the classroom setting and to address the observations with the teacher. From years of working with the young child we become very familiar with struggles children may have not only cognitively but also emotionally and socially. When we suggest that an evaluation be considered it is only because we want to work as a team to ensure the best success for the child. Our school embraces a very international school with children of all learning styles. This child is always welcome in our school. Nonetheless we wish only the best for the family.

My son who just turned three-years-old attended here for six months in 2016. I ended up removing him because one of the teachers sent a note home saying his nails were long and dirty. None of which were true. Seriously. I had a feeling they wanted me to remove him anyway because he didn't fit the profile of the type of pupil they desire there. I think it is a good school if your kid exceeds behavioral and cognitive standards. It wasn't a good fit for us though.

I HEART BMMC! Beyond academics (yes, your child will read before kindergarten!), the staff (directresses, assistants, office) is so welcoming and create the warmest environment for students and parents. We have been through the Toddler and Pre-K programs at BMMC and remain impressed. Staff is incredibly responsive and children develop confidence, independence, academic skills, and positive social skills (being humble, friendship, and community). BMMC is the place to be!

My two daughters are currently attending this school and it is their second year: they started with 1,5 yrs and 4 yrs old. We moved from different country and neither of them spoke English at the time. The teachers made everything possible to help them to adapt, they are amazing and really loving and caring persons! As an example: my 4 yr old didn’t want to enter the classroom in the mornings so her teacher gave her a “special task” during the first week: to feed fish in the classroom´s aquarium. And I have many more examples of how they pay personalized attention to each child and according to their needs. I love the mirror-windows in each classroom and that parents can come inside the school at any time to observe what is going on in the classroom. Teachers are very accessible and I feel I can address my concerns to them at any time.

I just registered my two year old son to start the toddler program here. The staff was so warm and welcoming to us unlike another Montessori School I had toured previously. After my experience at the first place, I was apprehensive about trying another Montessori. Not all Montessori Schools are truly Montessori, if you know what I mean. My advice is to visit multiple places and pick the best fit for your child. If you have a bad experience at one, don't swear off Montessori altogether, because they all operate differently. The most importantant quality for the school to have, is whether they can relate and accept your child's imperfections and flaws. Not all kids develop at the same rate and toddlers definitely have their moments. How the staff reacts to your child is what makes the school a keeper or a tosser. As a parent, I will not put my child into a school that doesn't give me a good feeling inside, no matter how highly rated it may be.

I had my children in this school totaling about 5 years. We had a great experience. The teachers were wonderful and kept my kids very challenged. They create a very much cocooned environment for the toddler program which was nice for that age group. My kids were able to be placed in the advanced class when they moved to elementary school. This school provided an outstanding learning environment for my children. I highly recommend it.

I'm the parent of two children currently enrolled at Bloomfield Maples Montessori and my husband and I are very pleased with our decision to send our boys to this school. The teachers are patient, kind, trained in the montessori method, and understand that each child is an individual that learns at their own pace and way. My children are growing and becoming confident in their knowledge as well as in themselves. I would highly recommend this school!

Very disappointed with this school. They lack quality teaching staff. School is quick to dismiss parental concerns. Not easy to deal with on the whole. I will not recommend this school.

This school has been successful for over 28 years. It has a wonderful reputation within the community and many of the students are at the school through recommendations from many of our previous and existing parents. We strive for high academic success along with being sensitive to the student's individual needs. We have a strong parental involvement and an open door policy that allows for parents to observe at any time. The teachers are well educated in the Montessori philosophy and are sensitive to the needs of each student. The staff has a strong commitment to the idea of Peace Education.
