I am currently Enrolled in this school and I approve. Overall I recommend this school.

This is a high quality school. With minimal resources and support and a large amount of english language lerners and special education students, This schoool gets a bad reputation sometimes. Last year on the state reading test - nearly 90 % of ELL students had proficient or better. That smokes the state average. The inverse is also true because of high achievement - this school does not show high improvement. 87% proficient to 90%. There are a few areas that can be improved, but these percentages are already higher than most schools and when you have comparatively small total enrollments one or two low test performers can bring everyon's averages down. Don't be fooled by test results which keep them consistently low in the comparison, this school does a lot with a little. Regular fire drills, no power outages, good heating and cooling, environment emphasizing respect, multiple sports programs involving potentially every student. I think what I really like most is high expectations for students at the middle level. I think most people like to forget how they were at this age, but i thinnk this school gets it.

I went to the the Weiser Middle school about 25 yrs ago, and it still look the same. Everything is out dated. But the BIG issue is the bulling, teachers picking favorites and the teachers are not very nice and Mr Hunter is a rude. My son goes to this school and he has special needs, they will NOT do anything to help even tho I brought paperwork to prove he has a disability, and it has been 2yrs and they STILL wont help... I DO NOT recommend this school to anyone.

The kids started gossiping behind my back and started ganging up on me and calling me things like lesbian (despite the fact that I like BOYS) just because I only had one decent friend that was nice at all and I only hanged out with her. I could speak several languages (French, German, ect.) and for this they began to racially slur at me. Not even my "friends" were nice. I went all the way through this year absolutely silent, but when I even so much as say very little they go "Stop talking for once!" then they just go on blabbering about. In P.E. I'd usually get bullied, for example, one day I was sitting on the sidelines during dodgeball and this kid stood a yard away and threw the ball hard enough at me to leave a welt. There is not enough homework handed out and this ruined my education; I didn't have enough material to study with. The teachers pick favorites in this school and they spend very little time tutoring. The lockers are all out of wack and everything is outdated. We only had one fire drill out of the WHOLE year. For kids in the country, expect to spend a whole hour on the bus going and coming back from school. I really don't recommend this school.
