New, very nice, well organized school. We also like the communication process between teachers and parents.

My son's head was slammed against the side of the bus and his ear was ripped open. The only thing that the school did was remove the child from the bus. I proceed to go to the school the school and they let me know that the female student would write my write my son a letter that he never received. This is unacceptable. Children that can't keep their hands to themselves belong on a special bus and in a special classroom.

Wouldn't advise this school for childeren with disabilities. They don't do their jobs. The level of childerens success ratings from this school is low. If seen better schools in my lifetime.

I really enjoy the faculty and atmosphere at Park Ave. They have a very strong bond with their students and involved parents. They have added several new faculty members and rearranged some of the staff to ensure that students are getting the best outcome. I will say that I wish curriculum and expectations were a little more streamlined as I had/have 2 children in 2 different grades and found my younger one had more challenging and in depth homework than my older one which is now posing a slight problem as they transitioned to the Middle School. I've been pleased thus far that teachers maintain very good communication if there are A.) any issues/concerns regarding behavior B.) provide adequate praise in accomplishments the student has C.) encouraging feedback and involvement from all parents and students. One calls weekly provide all parents with any information on schedules, activities, and meetings which is greatly appreciated. I look forward to the new school building and more parent involvement this year and in the coming years.

Park Ave Elementary is a great school. They encourage the children, teach them it's not ok to bully, and have wonderful security drills with the children.

My kids have been part of Park Ave for the last 3 years, and we have had nothing but a GREAT experience there! Great staff, good programs, and a new school that will be opening in 2015! More parent involvement would be great, but overall the community has been more cohesive since my daughter started there in 2010!
