As a student who recently graduated from this school (graduated 8th grade), entering high school next year, I must say Waverly Middle School is FABULOUS! I strongly disagree with the other reviews, which are very outdated. College and workforce readiness is stressed at this school regardless of your desired pathway in life. This school offers very advanced coursework, such as Living Environment/Biology, Global History & Geography 1, Algebra 1, and other courses in the 8th grade, as these courses are typically adminsitered to high school freshmen. This school supported me every step of the way. The teachers here are 100% amazing and very valuable members of the public schol system, who are very hardworking. This school tries their absolute best to help each and every student succeed, no matter their abilities. Bullying is very uncommon at this school, and to those who have been bullied, I would ask them to reach out to the wondeful Principal, Assistant Principal, Guidance counselor, or even Family/Student Advisor (not to mention, their administration is great). I would even go as far to say this district and school are the best in the county. Therefore, if you are looking for a welcoming school with excellent teachers, administration, and opportunities, I would STRONGLY reccomend Waverly Middle School/Wavelry Central School District!!!!!

Add 5th grade to the list at this school, and it is really a Junior/Senior high school. Grades 5-12 all in the same building.

This school is fine for children who easily grasp the knowledge they are taught, but don't expect any other child to do well. My nephew failed all but one of his classes and all through the school year they refused to help him or give any guidance. Oh his parents had meetings upon meetings and there were plans made that would have helped, if the school followed through with one of them! They are passing him through anyway even though he clearly doesn't have the base of knowledge to move forward with. They don't care about the kids. They care if the kids are there so they get paid for the seat. So frustrating!

This school does not care about the childerns education. They only care about the teachers tenyear. No matter the compaint they do nothing. As the saying goes they turn a blind I to the problems and hope you just go away.
