I attended Waverly Middle School and I truly believe that it helped take my education to the next level. As a recent high school graduate I can give credit to the excellent educators at WMS for helping me develop proper study and work habits to carry me through the rest of my academic career. A hot topic among parents and educators these days is the importance of instilling "grit" in students. Grit is characterized as drive and determination to succeed. I think that grit is emphasized in every aspect of a Waverly education. During my time at Waverly Middle School I was pushed both in and out of the classroom. The teachers care enough to hold students accountable, which is important as they move forward in their education. Coaches have equally high expectations of athletes. Waverly also has a PHENOMENAL music program. I would highly recommend involvement in the Waverly band and choir. The only complaint I could make is that there is little variety in extracurricular activities. I think it would be beneficial for students to have access to a wider variety of sports and/or clubs, but it is a small sacrifice when you consider what you DO get at Waverly Middle School.

Waverly, is one school I would NEVER recommend. If you want to play sports, you better have a good reputation or the coach's WON'T even give you a chance. Even their education sucks. If you looked at their state testing scores you would see they didn't even make top 70 at ANY subject. My kids went there and even they hated it. I always hear how kids are transferring to other schools because of how bad it is. I can't believe that the government even allows it to be a school. The only people who like the school are the parents and kids who always make the team because of politics and reputation.
