When we relocated to Watertown, NY six years ago, education was our top priority, focusing on both excellence as well as safety. Immaculate Heart Central offers an exceptional, faith-based education with a strong emphasis on safety and academic excellence.. IHC emphasizes character-building and moral education by fostering virtues such as kindness, respect, and social responsibility. The one thing we truly love about IHC is the smaller class size that offers more individual attention to students. The small class sizes mean each student gets the help they need to succeed.IHC offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and service projects to ensure the students are well rounded. IHC also promotes parental involvement through volunteer opportunities and frequent communication, making it feel like we are truly part of a larger family. As parents, we developed friendships that will last a lifetime. We could not be happier with Immaculate Heart Central. It is a safe environment where students can grow both academically and spiritually. We would highly recommend IHC to any parent looking for a well-balanced education that priorities both academic excellence and faith.

As a military family moving into a new community, finding the right school for our children was a top priority. Immaculate Heart Central came highly recommended, and it has lived up to our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the warmth and welcoming nature of the school stood out. The small class sizes ensure personalized attention, and the sense of community is strong, populated by wholesome, like minded families. The diversity is unmatched in the area bringing together different perspectives and enhancing the learning experience. Academically, our children have thrived, scoring above average in reading on the national Renaissance STAR assessment. However, what truly sets IHC apart is its commitment to character building. The school doesn’t just focus on academic excellence but also prioritizes developing each student into a respectful, responsible, and positive influence in society. We feel fortunate to be part of a school that cultivates not just the mind but the heart of every student.

Immaculate Heart Elementary has been a wonderful school for my daughter. She has learned so much in her first year of preschool. I would like if they could create a special education program because I would love to send my son who has autism, but they do not have the teacher resources to make it happen. Overall, I would definitely recommend this school to anyone in the Fort Drum/Watertown area.

It is great to see a school that actually takes time to actively engage parents as part of their children s education. This is pushed from top down from the principal, who allows time to ensure parents are aware of decisions that will impact their children s education. All the staff are approachable and makes a very concerted effort to not just know their kids/parents in their class but all the kids/parents in the school. My son only having attended for three months, would walk down the hall and be greeted by name by teachers and students alike. It is very refreshing. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their kid to immediately feel like part of the school.

We moved here from another duty station and put our children in the local public schools. They were woefully inadequate, so we did some research and came upon IHC schools. We made the switch and have been very pleased with all schools grades K-12. They truly challenge students and offer advanced work for children who learn quickly. The principals (both old and new) have been wonderful and really strive to include parents in the decision making process for everything. We love these schools.
