Kids screaming, running, and playing, outside between 8:00-8:30am EST in a residential courtyard of a luxury apartment building. When Melissa was asked to adjust outdoor playtime to a more reasonable hour to rectify the negative impact she’s having on the community, she responded with sarcasm and unprofessionalism.

Great to see the Montessori principles play out and see the development of Spanish in our child. Glad they are open during pandemic - protocols are thorough but reasonable.

We are very happy with our child's progress and the COVID-19 protocols that the school has instituted for in-person learning. Our child is so proud of her work and constantly singing songs in Spanish.

Waterfront has been great for us and our child, who is excited about learning, excelling at math and reading and conversing in Spanish well beyond that of his parents.

Waterfront Academy is a blessing to our family. The teachers are awesome and my child was welcomed each and every morning with a big "buenos dias". She loves going to school and while there we noticed she has learned so much since she started attending Waterfront Academy. She has a thirst to learn. Our daughter is now bilingual and bi-literate!!! So awesome and completely impressed. I am looking forward to the day when she starts correcting me.

Waterfront Academy offers a genuine Montessori education in Southwest DC. We have been amazed at the language skills we see our son developing from the dual-immersion Spanish and English program. Each week our son is discovering new things, growing in his faith, and making connections in his brain now that will help him learn throughout his life. The teachers and leadership here are nurturing and dedicated to every student s education. They also are committed to building a community, holding monthly family nights with guest speakers and hosting enrichment programs, like soccer and dance, for the public. And we like that they offer an after-school program. Our son is usually having so much fun with teachers and friends at pick-up time that he isn t ready to leave, even at 6 pm!

Waterfront Academy has been a wonderful experience for us and our daughter. The teachers are very caring and they foster a wonderful relationship among the children. Her progress in Spanish and math has been amazing. And her religious education has been quite thorough.
