My daughter loves going to school, and loves to learn. This is a direct effect of the impact her teachers and the staff has had on her. The teachers keep a line of open communication with the parents, which makes resolving minor issues a breeze. We're very happy here, and can't wait for the new building

I absolutely love Champion Elementary! The teachers are all outstanding at what they do! The principal is great too. She attends every PTO meeting where she gives us a rundown on everything happening in the school that month. She sends out information on enews and she keeps up a Facebook page filled with great links to help us, help our kids! The current building isn't great BUT we just passed a bond to build a brand new building! What was already great is getting better!

I feel as if the teachers there are amazing, they really have a passion to teach the kids! Keep up the great work CES teachers! I've been blown-off by the principal, which was not so great.... My children have always LOVED their teachers. The building itself is pretty SAD, I myself have never been in such a rundown school building, it's in horrible condition, it's a complete maze in there! It's not handicap accessible, no cooling, inadequate heating, lack of an actual drop off area.... I could go on and on... If I was able to drive my kids to and from school everyday I would open enroll them at a neighboring district with better facilities.

Champion elementary seems to be a good school. I do, however, have a few concerns. For instance, my first grader sometimes brings home 2-3 hours of homework. I'm not a fan of common core math, as it seems counterproductive and illogical. Also, my son has just been given detention for cutting out a paper gun.

My child since January had had his teacher twice a week on average. When I called to ask the school why he has so many different substitutes their response was the teachers have to go to training. Well great that they are going to training but should be on their own time. My son should not have to say to me I've had so many different substitutes I can't keep track of their names anymore. What kind of education is he getting with a different substitute every day.

This school has went down hill since I went there. I probably will not keep my kids in this school system. The principal is more worried about her appearance than her students.

This school was a 5 star school, until they got a new principal. She came in trying to fix something that wasn't broken. She reduced recess, started a school wide complicated color coded behavior system with 7 colors. Her communication with parents are always last minute and she changes things mid year that have a huge impact on the kids. I think the Champion school system as a whole is great, but I would never send another child to the elementary.

This school is going down hill fast because of the new principal. It's a real shame.
