While at work most recently, I could not help but to witness right in front of other students, how a 1st grade teacher was a bit disrespectful, overbearing, and undermining towards a rather sweet, friendly and unsuspecting substitute. While I've taken notice that this was not the first time I've ever witnessed or heard about such things happening in this school, I just don't understand why some teachers here feel the need to act superior and interfere with the responsibilities of another. Was she literally trying to put the substitute down to embarrass her in front of her class? Or was she trying to make herself look good in front of her fellow co-workers? If the county felt she was qualified to teach, then her fellow co workers should mind their own business and simply trust her enough to do her job! If the teacher felt the substitute needed reminding of her job requirements then she should have taken it up with the Principal of the school, who most definitely would not have tried to belittle her in front of the students, rather, he would have pulled her aside if he felt it warranted a discussion.
