Chat everything sucks…School lunch is not even free anymore. The only way to get it for free is by either being dead broke or homeless…For the last few consecutive years all the teachers are becoming worse. There is like a 5% chance of getting an amazing teacher. Nah bro this dress code got even worse. They for real are thinking we are some big private school. If you wear the slightly wrong color for pants/shirt you get a detention. The school needs a massive update stat.

Terrible terrible-if you are outside of the norm culture that lives in Wallington you are in for no surprise, no support specially if your child has a disability. Guidance is a joke-most teacher seem burnt out-the support for different cultures or diversity doesn’t exist @ this school!

I would love to give this school 0 stars if I could. Everything sucks expect band because the band teacher actually cares about you. There not even a cafeteria. And dam the grading sucks these English teachers don't know how to grade. I sware to god the only teacher who know how to grade is the math teachers. The dress code is bogus. When I brought in a coke the principal said excuse me what you gonna do with that coke. Woooowwww I don't know really what I gonna do with it actually maybe drink it shocker. The school lunch tastes like 18-year-old process meat. The band teacher love him only reason I love the school. Everything else is bogus. Dam that one gym teacher who yells way to much chill please it scares me. If you see this comment two times it cause I made bad spelling the first time. Btw it is my OPION so chill. Thx have a good day:)

I am a former student of whs who left in late 2019. I graduate in 2023. Let me tell you. We were promised that it would be a great experience when we made the move from gavlak elementary. Instead of being a proper middle-high school experience, it was nothing near that. Wallington is a school with a select amount of good teachers and those good teachers that we have often try to do their jobs however, they lack proper funding due to the fact that they would rather spend their money on a new led sign and fixing parkings that had no problem at all like they did in my final year there in 2019. The students and staff seemed to have had no problem with none of those things. Why not use the money to build a track on the field which is embarrassing that there is no track on the field. Back to my point, the school lacks many things that could help students and teachers which includes more extracurriculars such as culinary arts, engineering, marketing, drawing, sculpting and the list goes on. They don't even have a real girls soccer team and have to merge with the rival school out of town, Becton. They don't have a lacrosse team. Another thing that the administration is notorious for is not being able to keep the school under control. From 2017-2019 there has been numerous safety threats and the principal, Mr. Fromfield can't stop it. In fact, He is the reason for many problems at the school due to the fact he barely helps bully victims and tries to always find a way to get someone into trouble for the littlest things. He makes you turn off your phone in his office and leave it flat on the desk due to the fact he does not want you recording him to use as evidence against him. Don't even try to complain about a teacher because he will disregard you completely only until he sees it himself. Any schedule changes you request must go through a conversation with him and sometimes he doesn't care what your parents decided he will try to void it after guidance literally changed it for you. He often tends to talk down on the students in his school to their own parents. There are also many students that are favored due to their family working for the town or district. In many cases they get away with a lot of things that wouldn't be tolerated with your average student at WHS. What is stopping me from giving 1 star is the small percent of good teachers that try at least and the counselors that wanted to help out. I would never recommend moving to this school.

Wallington Jr./Sr. High School is a combined school hence the name. It is not the best school, but not the worst school. This is a tight knit town, which makes it harder for newcomers to fit in, where some students may be the 5th generation to attend this school. It is a working class town, so many parents cannot help with school activities. When I attended the school the idea of going to college was pushed upon us, but we weren't prepared-many of the top students quit college. There may not be JV teams due to the lack of students. The avg. size of a graduating class is approx. 80 students. Survey the students-they most likely will not want a cafeteria, and as for the quality of teachers they are on par with any other school or line of work-some give 110% while some do the minimum. There is more emphasis on sports than academics. The school offers things like art, bc it is like a restroom: something they need to have. If you have a bright child who needs to be challenged look into Bergen Academies. And, if you can afford it hire a tutor.

Horrible school...no programs for the kids..the school dosnt even have a cafeteria! The only decent program they had was music and the teacher just quit! Maybe if your from this tiny town and know no better of how an high school experience should be, then your ok with it...Also as far as sports.pretty sad...most dont even have a JV team they are all just thrown into Varsity, so you can imagine how bad the teams are..School also looks as if it hasnt been painted in 75yrs
