This school is much better than one of those school district of rich people where no kids will compare clothing, brand name, or be laughed when wearing no name brand outfit. The students help each other, and teachers are always available. My child said when she graduated and moved on an Ivy League school, she was ready, because school taught them good problem solving schools.

I was someone who was in special education as a child. Wssd put 5 years of time and effort into getting me out. When I was given academic independence in middle school, I struggled. My grades slipped, however, my teachers and guidance counselors noticed and helped me. By the time I was in high school, I was on the honor roll. My teachers, peers, and guidance counselors were extremely supportive of me. This has allowed me to attend a highly-ranked university. Do not listen to these other reviews from people who attended over 20 years ago. This school is great!

Our child has had a great experience here. They've been challenged and gotten help when they've needed it. The block schedule makes getting additional attention pretty straightforward. All of the teachers seem to care a great deal about the children. There have been more than enough clubs and extra-curricular activities to satisfy their curiosity.

I attended any ivy league university after attending this school. I found the school did not adequately prepare me for the level of work that was expected at college. In the end I did okay, as did most of my peers who went to good universities. But that is mostly because of our privileged background.

For a kid with a learning disability this school is horrible, they refuse to lower their college prep standards to help a kid out. My child goes to this school everyday as a victim, with education, teachers putting them down and being attached by students. They should be ashamed of themselves.

If you aren't an alpha, an athlete, artist and honors student, the others will scorn you. The school is full of well off, high achieving kids, and if you aren't one, they will not give you the time of day. The administration is horrible, especially now that Dr. Yannacone is leaving. The only good thing is the teachers.

involved kids (hard to find a kid who isn't involved in at least one extracurricular activity; committed faculty, staff and coaches;involved parents (maybe a little bit too much -think afterprom); great graduation rates and college admission rates; hard to imagine paying private or Catholic schools when our tax dollars support such a great public school experience.

We had 5 children graduate from Strath Haven High School and each have said that the curriculum prepared them for post high school academic work. All have excellent vocations, are happy with their choices. The foundation starts at home and was progressed at SHHS. Are we lucky, maybe, but this school offered our children what they needed. Was it smooth sailing all the way through, no, but the end result prepared them for their futures.

This school succeeds in taking the children of over-educated high achievers and getting them into exactly the colleges and universities that you'd expect. The educational experience, however, is rigid...the students are grotesquely overworked...and the quality of instruction is adequate, but not at all exceptional.Parents who are paying huge tax bills thinking their kids are getting a premiere education are deceiving themselves. Drug use and drinking are rampant. The technology curriculum is particularly pitiful. And the administration treat the students like inmates.

I would recommend Strath Haven to any student who likes to be challenged. There is not a lot of bullying in this school! :)

This is my second year here in the district--I am a junior--being as I am a transfer student. My experience so far has been phenomenal. I have been more involved in not only extracurricular activities, but with teacher-students relations, classroom discussions, sport activities--that I am not involved in, I I just have a greater sense of school pride--and the list goes on. I love my teachers, and although my classes may sometimes be a little more challenging than my recent classes in my hometown's school, I excel completely due to the help I receive from my teachers, and the will to carry on Strath Haven's great legacy. Transferring to this district was the best decision my family and I had could have possibly made, and I feel that I have a better chance at furthering my education in a 4-year college. Nothing but positive things to say about this school. Side note; we have the best faculty, administration, and principal in all of Delco!

Once a good school with great teachers, now a place with lots of behavior problems, teachers who look for the easy way out, not supportive of students especially ld students.

As a recent graduate of this school, I can say that it was one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. The education quality tops the charts, the teachers are wonderful and the student body is diverse and friendly. The knowledge I learned here helped me a lot with my SATs and allowed me to get into the college of my choosing. There are just so many good things to say about this school; in short, 10/10. TL;DR This school is awesome. 10/10.
