Every staff member at Waco Elementary strives to meet the needs of all students whileshowing love and compassion. I couldn’t ask for a better school for my two kids.

This school used to be so great...what happened. My child went from loving school to despising it and is now experiencing anxiety about going. I had heard that fourth grade was going to be hard...& yes it is. The teachers don't make the 4th grade experience any better. Some of the teachers at this school are wonderful with a sincere passion to help kids achieve greatness. Sadly there are some that don't deserve to opportunity to be teachers. If you are looking for a superb elementary school in madison county I would recommend another.

I agree with the post about this school going downhill. This was an awsome school. Now it is terrible. We are moving to get out of the school district. The pricipal is never available to talk to the parents. When you call the school to ask questions you can never get a call back. The teachers send kids out to play at recess and sit and do not supervise. My child had a serious injury on the playground. I asked what happened the teacher said she didn't know. I have been to the school at recess time. The kids play and rough house and the teachers sit and talk to each other on the benches. Sometimes never looking at the kids. I know teachers can't watch all kids at all hours, but they should at lease be looking at the playground while their students are on it.

The past ratings on Waco Elementary are extremely exaggerated. This school is in dire need of a new principal and restructuring. The school does not offer assistance to students who need extra help with school work, etc. Waco Elementary has low standards and I do not recommend this school.
