The principle Mr. Davis, is very involved when it comes to the kids problems. He is very personable to the parents when issues arise. Yet he keeps all matters at a professional level. Same goes for the teachers. Now I had an issue with my child, everyone including the school psychologist, the principal and teachers teamed up to help resolve the issue. My family highly recommends any other families to be involved. Teachers at this school including the principle oversee so many children. If you don't, ask they won't know if you need the resources. This school is fully staffed and involved strictly for the kids best interest and outcome.

The only reason this school gets 3 stars is because the students at the school all seem pretty wholesome and work well together and the atmosphere is definitely positive and upbeat. With that being said, communication is non-existent. The only way you can find out how your child is doing in middle school is to bother the teacher repeatedly. In the 21st century, online grades should be a standard. The report card is really the only time you know how your child did. 7th and 8th grade clubs don't exist and that is unfortunate as well. The principal seems nice but I have not found him to be very involved. We had one minor incident happen and I requested a return phone call from the vice principal and never received one after 2 requests. The teachers seem nice but do not challenge the students in any way.

Very important this is a k-8th grade school. It is the highest performing school in Tulare County. It has amazing teachers and administration that create a positive culture in all they do. We are blessed to be part of this school.

Amazing teachers and great principal Mr Davis. My kids are being taken care in academic dynamism. School activities are awesome and kids are being engaged and interested for their own project with innovations...

Oak Grove Elementary is by far the greatest school in Visalia. My older daughters attended other Visalia schools when they were younger before we moved to Tulare. Upon moving back to Visalia, I am so greatful to be in the Oak Grove district. From the moment we stepped in to sign my daughter up, the staff and teachers were welcoming, warming and had the best attitudes. My daughters was so comfortable attending her first day there and I was even more comfortable leaving her there. Since then, I have had great contact with her teacher, the office and even th cafeteria personell. Simply caring and amazing people. The school curriculum is so robust that my daughter is learing quicker than she ever has. I am so grateful to be part of the Oak Grove Family!

The student's at Oak Grove are taught from Kindergarten that they are "scholars." Both my children LOVE going to school to "SHOW WHAT THEY KNOW!... the teaching staff is excellent... I feel like we are all a team (parents, teachers, students.)

I love this school because the teachers and entire staff are so caring and supportive. We feel like we are part of a large family at Oak Grove, even though there are close to 800 students there. This school has great spirit.

My husband and I are so grateful that our children attend Oak Grove. The principal is excellent and runs an awesome school. I volunteer in my childrens' classrooms on different days throughout the week, and no matter what time or day of the week, he walks through to check on things. His willingness to serve is carried down through all of the staff and teachers. They genuinely care about our children and their academic success.
