I absolutely love Lincoln. It is a wonderful community. The principal, teachers, counselor, and staff really care. They go above and beyond for each student. I highly recommend Lincoln to everyone!

My family loves this school so much. The entire staff seems to know all of the students and everyone there takes time to listen and encourage all of the students. My children feel welcome and important here. I have never had a problem that wasn’t immediately dealt with and my children and myself feel safe and happy here. We love Lincoln!

As our daughter finishes up her first year in Kindergarten at Lincoln, I figured I would take some time to share my experiences at this fantastic school. Sending a child off to school for the first time is of course an anxious moment for any parent and I admit I was no exception. But my anxiety was quickly relieved; the staff, teachers and principal at Lincoln have been tremendously friendly and welcoming. Perhaps my favorite aspect of Lincoln is that it is a relatively small school. Within a short time after starting school, my daughter was known not only to her own teacher, but also to the other teachers on campus and even the principal greets my daughter by name as we arrive in the morning. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Lincoln is a part of that village. It truly has a cooperative, community feel to it. I find this a refreshing contrast to larger schools where children can get lost in the crowd.Lincoln is also blessed with caring staff, a fantastic principal, and an excellent and hard working PTA. Does the PTA fund raise too frequently? Yeah, probably. I admit it got a bit tiring. But after seeing the benefits of not only ART, but also MUSIC, PE and a full time on-site nurse, I really came to appreciate the "extras" that are provided far beyond basic education. All of these extra programs come about though the tremendous efforts of the PTA. Next year I plan to be more involved in the PTA and hope that by helping out we can make the fund raising more effective and less frequent. In closing, I want to say "thanks" to all of those who clearly pour their heart and soul into the children at Lincoln. It is much appreciated.

I am very happy with this school - my daughter is in 2nd grade and has been here since Kindergarten. All of her teachers have been excellent - communicative and pro-active with any concerns and full of praise and encouragement. The principal is very visible, interactive, and approachable and appears to know most of the children by name. I also love that the school has students from all socioeconomic groups and are very inclusive - everyone is treated as a valued individual. The PEAK after-school program is also a godsend. Highly recommend!

We love Lincoln School. We bought our home in this neighborhood to attend Lincoln. Compare Lincoln with other Ventura County schools with true socio-economic diversity (look at schools with similar % of kids with free/reduced lunch) and you will find that Lincoln is one of the highest scoring socio-economically diverse schools in the County. Most schools scoring higher are much less diverse socio-economically. Socio-economic status is one of the the highest predictor of success on these tests. So we figured that a school that could score well without that stacked in their favor, must be doing something really special. And we were right. It was also important to us that our child be a part of a diverse community. What she learns because of the diversity is just as important as what shows up on the scores. We are very pleased with this little school.
