We have a sophomore and soon to be freshman at Skyview High School. We are thrilled that our sophomore has thrived in the STEM program. The teachers, especially in his engineering, math and science courses are fantastic and really care about the helping the students learn - not just complete assignments. The Robotics program is also one of the best, if not the best, in the state and region and he gets a lot out of the interactions with other students on the team. Also, the offering of AP classes is generous.

There's a lot of bullying that goes on in and out of this school, even on the school buses.Skyview's School Faculty seems to address these bullying issues with either little or no care at all.And I'm voicing "my opinion" from a past and a very recent experience that involved my child being verbally and physically bullied. The office staff hardly acknowledged my thoughts, concerns and worries, even after I showed them proof of the bullying and gave them a copy of the restraining order that we filed against the student that was still attending Skyview. They do not follow the school's policies that have been put in place for the benefit, well-being and safety of any and all students. I moved to this District so my children could specifically attend Skyview High School and I regret my decision 100%.I am completely disgusted with Skyview's faculty and their inability to make a good judgment call even when the evidence is clear as day, personally handed to them and put right in front of their face.Hopefully, one day in the future, Skyview High School will hold their students accountable for their own actions

No walls in a lot of classrooms, super loud, no soap dispensers in bathrooms, mirrors removed. overall, 1/10.

8, students are wonderful, good community, great sports programs and clubs for students of all interests. That said students with disabilities and students of low income can struggle with the lack of support given from the school. Other than that an overall good experience with fantastic teachers who will be remembered forever

Skyview H.S. in Salmon Creek area of Vancouver, WA is a terrible school. Every virtually every interaction I had with school employees (teachers to administration) left me thinking that common sense does not exist within those walls...with the except of one conversation I had with the Principal, J. Gray. I had to appeal to Mr. Gray once last year in a bizarre situation with my child at the school, which I was so close to calling the police when Mr. Gray stepped in and woke-up two of his employees. Unfortunately, even though he did the correct thing at that moment, there would be NO following up to correct his employees. Awful...terrible school. It has been mis-managed for years.

For all you people who are "hating" on Skyview because of how the school functions because of the cliques and the racism, you all must be living in a fairytale world because clearly you live in a utopian society. Every school, elementary to colleges is not perfect. You will find examples of this everywhere, in movies, literature, songs, etc. If your child/you can not handle this I suggest homeschooling. As for the education I believe it is very adequate. From an upper to "average" income area, Skyview has a wide range of opportunities to offer your child. The SMT program is widely recognized by colleges and the sports programs are wonderful and take home lots of medals. As a student going to Skyview I am proud to represent my school and I hope that you will give us a chance

Don't send your kids to Skyview unless they thrive in an atmosphere of overcrowded hallways, over-burdened teachers, and large classrooms where students get very little personal attention from teachers. My daughter will have attended all 4 years of high school here. The school refuses to put a cap on enrollment and there are major over-crowding issues. If I had it to do over, I would send my daughter to River. Teachers and advisors are massively over-burdened and you'll get very little feedback from them. Same goes for your student. Just a warning.
