All three of my children have attended Lashon Academy since kindergarten, and I can confidently say the school has greatly contributed to their academic and personal growth. The office staff has been consistently professional, patient, and supportive, always addressing our needs. The teachers are dedicated, providing individualized attention and encouraging both academic success and personal development. The administration had made the environment feel almost like a private school. Now it’s time for two of my kids to transfer to high school. Thank you, Lashon, for preparing them for their next journey in life.

We have a child in 2nd grade here and have had 2 teachers leave mid year. I'm not sure what is going on but it my guess is the administration is not providing for the teachers. We are going to enroll somewhere else next year. Very disappointing.

The school is good, the staff is very nice and welcoming but this school has a serious problem with bullying! I wish I would have known this before enrolling my kindergartner. She complained about students hitting her and when I told the teacher about it she sent me an article on how to stand up for yourself. On another occasion my daughter was kicked in the head and when I went to the teacher to talk about it she asked my daughter what was she doing on the floor to get kicked? Instead of asking the other student why she would do something awful.

My experience at this school was very disappointing. There were five teachers in the school that left mid year 2021-2022. The teachers are absolutely amazing but I can’t say the same about the administration. There is no sense community. There have been multiple times where my child and other children getting picked on and there is no communication or proper investigation. I feel terrible for the teachers that work there because of the lack of support and materials for the students. Please reconsider sending your child here. They don’t have a playground as well which is very important for children especially kindergarten students.

This school really downgraded in 2020-2021. It's not what it used to be. Approx. 28 students in 3rd grade, good teachers are leaving. It's an ok school if your child doesn't require anything extra attention, otherwise I'd reconsider.

We have been at Lashon for awhile, but the dynamic has changed and it isn’t the same anymore. The teachers are great, but the kids are so mean and so are the parents. The Israeli parents refuse to talk to you if you don’t speak Hebrew and don’t want their kids hanging out with non Israeli kids. The Israeli kids are just bullies. The school doesn’t intervene and stop it. My kids are over being bullied everyday and want to switch schools next school year.

I had my boys there last year. My boy is special needs ,The school was trying to push us out of IEP process and had no intention to help us . The school have 2 great teachers in every grade the rest are new and without experience... they are saving so much that instead of creating small classes , they are combining classes grades?!! Anyway, we moved from out of state fir this school and we didn’t like it ..

My boys went to this school a year ago . My son with Spacial needs was totally ignored. The management where trying to push us not to do IEP and didn’t follow the law. I came to be with my Israeli friends but they put the kids together base on parents donations .They have 2 good teacher for every grade , all the rest are very new and without any good experience. They are all about saving money even making 2nd -3rd and 4th-5th combined class .. all in order to save ... if you have a choice, pick a better school .

Terrible, nonody care about the students and when something happen in the school is always accidents, no nurse and if you want to be a volunteer you waiting for long time and only help when the Office tell you , not when you want.

My kids love going to school everyday. They care about the students. They tailor the teaching to the student so all kids thrive. It doesn’t matter if they are gifted or special needs, every student succeeds.

We have had a wonderful experience in the last 1.5 years my son has been here. The academics are wonderful - he has learned an incredible amount and actually understands quite a bit of Hebrew! It is a wonderful school.

The new principal has been with the school only 6 months but she already began making numerous unnecessary changes to school that make no sense and make absolutely no improvement how the school functions or benefits the children. While LAUSD is planning to pilot Kosher Lunch program, the new principal banned a successful Kosher Lunch program at school. This school is not what it was. The school has next to no activities that other schools in the district offer and no real playground or yard.

This is relatively new school. Unfortunately like any new school it lacks stability in its direction and goals. My child started with the school when it just opened, school was a welcoming place, administration listed to the parents. Now administration just has its own agenda in mind.

We absolutely love it at Lashon Academy. The teachers are amazing. My son loves all the projects that they do. It is also an amazing community. The PTO also puts on a lot of events for the kids. We are beyond happy we switched and went to Lashon Academy.

After enrolling our daughter in a 9 charter school in Encino we still felt something was missing so we moved her to Lashon Hebrew Academy Charter School and we are so happy we did. She receives individualized project based learning which caught her up to reading and writing level, maintains her Hebrew she had from living in Israel and allows her to experience diverse cultures amongst her piers. The teachers and staff are passionate about giving the students a strong academic and social education.

This is our 2nd year at this school and we just love it there. The teachers are amazing and caring. In addition to the Hebrew, they have a music teacher, dance teacher, computer lab, pe teachers, and much more. It is project based learning, so my son is able to learn and remember much more. It feels like a private school.
