As an autistic 7th grade girl, I would know best on how students are treated. The only way to defend yourself against kids is fighting back, but that would get you suspended (which can be justified). It's extremely sad to see kids being bullied and no one helping. Being the kid who helps is of course the good thing to do but the risk of getting in trouble for simply confronting the bully is way too high. They tell us it's okay to be different and then insult us for who we are. Being treated differently for who we are is not right. Me, who wears headphones in the hallway because of my autism has caused me to be yelled at. I never know what I'm doing wrong because they never explain. Teachers often favor students IN CLASS making many many students feel left out or invisible. Having connections with teachers out of school is fine, but as soon as the connection becomes part of the school day is when its a problem. Being part of the LGBTQ is "supported" until you bring it up in class, then it's wrong and sinful. I'm tired of being treated like I'm nothing and I'm sure other kids are too. Get your game together Jones.

This school is NOT a dream. There is so much bullying and rude behavior that it is impossible to belive. There are cockroaches everywhere in this school and it’s generally a terrible place. As a member of the LGBTQ+ this school has the most homophobic students ever. Only true good people here are the following: 7 east science teacher, 7 east social studies teacher, the band teachers and the Orchestra teacher. As a student in 7th grade this school needs to wake up, and serve its community. The girls bathrooms have NO products and we have been lied to about getting a restock. The classes are freezing cold and students have to bundle up to step inside. The food is TERRIBLE. Instead of focusing money to the exterior of the building they should focus on bullying and school food. The place disgusts me, and it saddens me to even walk through the door. But oh! We have a park! Makes everything better, sure.

I hate hate HATE Jones middle school. It has the worst rules, annoying staff, and obnoxious counselors. Would not recommend for your child, the building and staff are old. The building is full of cockroaches and bugs. They care more about your phone being out than bullying and violence. My experience has close to 0 positives. I am a current eighth grader and hated this school when I arrived, and still do. Do not go here!!!

I was a student at Jones JR high in the 70s, and I really loved it there. Fast forward to last year and my son's Dublin district Middle School track team had a dual meet vs Jones. I noticed that many of the Jones athletes were special needs kids. I knew a Jones mom that was there at the meet and she told me a couple of the coaches were Intervention Specialists and they encourage all their kids to participate. It was a beautiful thing to watch and the "typical" kids made a point of cheering on all their team mates with equal enthusiasm. It made me proud to be a "old" Jones alumni and put our Dublin team to shame in sportsmanship. Great school, great community.

This is the best school in Columbus and the kids are the best in the world. If one day, the school decides to ask for payment, I will pay as this is better than a private school.

Overall, the teaching and guidance is excellent. A question comes up for us about how challenging the curriculum is, since our child moved from a private school where that child struggled to keep up. At Jones, the child excelled. It may have just been a good fit, but it left us wondering, nonetheless. Several of the teachers have been truly outstanding. There is no diversity at the school - if this is a value for you, then this is not your school. On the other hand, all the families have high expectations, and offer great support. Overall, very good experience.
