I moved to this area 34 years ago and yes you run into problems at every school, but you need to get involed with the school and help the teachers and staff . You get out what you put in. We all live by rules or you pay the price,so get of your duff and get involed with the school and you will see a big change in your child. I have had three children graduate form Union Star and very proud of what they have done with their lives. The school has a very high state rating (top 15 out of over 500) so this is not a school that is not doing it's job of tesching the kids. I feel this is an outstanding school.

I have rarely found a school that is as concerned for the kids. Not just concern for their education but for the child. I have had my kids in some 'good' schools that lied , abused my kids, and pulled trick they could to get them into special ed programs they did not need. The teachers work with the parents and keep us informed of any problems. The kids are close knit and seem to welcome new students. The staff makes you feel welcome and answers any questions you have. It's refreshing to have kids eager to go to school and LIKE IT. I am glad to have my kids in this school and there is school pride here.

The teachers are great. The administration is a joke. They are dishonest ,horrible, mean power hungry people, and none of the administration or teachers for that matter bring thier kids to this school. If it were a good school with alot to offer, teachers and administration would bring thier own kids to the school, with the exception of one teacher noone brings thier kids here. NO school pride, and not much to be proud of .

This schhol is a mess. The teachers try to do a good job, but the administration is a complete joke. None of them live in the district and all have kids that go to schools in other districts. If they thought the school was a good school they would have their own kids in Union Star not other districts.
