This school does NOT deal with bullying. It is often swept under the rug and any serious attempts from parents to get resolution often leads to retaliation against your children. Communication from the school to parents is poor at best, and you will not get any indication that there is a problem until it is almost to late too deal with it. Having talked with a few generations of Alumni, this is an ongoing problem that has spanned more than a decade. If you compare the student handbook to other schools in the area, North Andrew's STUDENT handbook is clearly written to protect the STAFF, and not the students. Threaten a teacher? Drastic consequences immediately. Your child gets beat up in the bathroom and threatened to be stabbed a few times? Well, They're just trying to get so-and-so in trouble and remember, "We're all family here"... Every time an ongoing or recurring issue is elevated to the next tier of administration, Teacher to Principal, or Principal to Superintendent, they have no idea what is going on and haven't heard anything about it. If there have been problems in specific classrooms, don't worry, they'll conveniently forget to let you know about parent teacher conferences but sorry, "we sent an email." That being said, The above is an administrative issue stemming from the small town 'Good Ol' Boys' system. Most of the teachers are compassionate and exceptional at their jobs and individually should be given all 5 stars. As long as your child doesn't become the target of another troubled child, and you don't have to ask the school for help because your are legitimately concerned for the safety of your child while at school, you probably wont look close enough to see the failures.

This is an excellent school that focuses on teaching fundamentals to the students as well as all the other things that students need to learn in school.
