Union Elementary is a hidden gem. It is a first-rate school with great teachers, wonderful administrators, excellent support staff, and outstanding parental support!!!

They are small enough to not let a child fall through the cracks yet big enough to offer a variety of quality cirriculum to challenge and prepare our kids for the next stage of their education. They are conservative in their overall collective right wing views, but if you can appreciate that approach then we are your school.

My youngest son started Kindergarten this 2013-14 school year. He was screened for readiness in the spring of 2013 at which point they deemed it necessary to do the indepth developmental age stage he was currently performing since it was severly delayed. He was performing most of his areas at around 3years 4months average. They had a lesson plan of action prepared before the end of the 2013 summer break for the upcoming 2013-2014 year after 9 weeks into the fall semester they have adjusted his IEP class time and have sinced has proven to "shows remarkable improvement" their words(from 10% mastery by end of school year to 80% mastery by school end of year). They received one of the highest school rankings in the state for elementary and high school testing scores, star. The kindergarten class ratio is 24:2(each class has an assistant teacher in elementary) Teachers are proactive in communicating any issues immediately to the parents. We are transfers from Neshoba Central School District my oldest, started at the middle school two years ago and have seen such an improvement, his grades, comprehension, and enjoyment of school 100% better.

I am so glad my child have the opportunity to attend a Star school like Union. My child has relieved excellent instruction from his classroom teachers and extensive interventions to help with his dyslexia and learning differences. He also as ADD and the teachers work hard to accommodate him. I wouldn't want my child to attend school anywhere else. Keep up the good work!! The principal is very creative and works hard to create a positive atmosphere. He is willing to go the extra mile to motivate the children.
