We toured the school as we were looking for a middle school. Several things left us perplexed after our visit. Both our child and ourselves felt uncomfortable with the idea of starting the school day with a prayer. The artwork displayed on the walls appeared very uniform, and the overall vibe of the school certainly felt odd. It seemed to us that the lessons were below grade level, and we got the feeling that the teacher was certain that his educational views were the only ones that mattered and would not welcome questions. This made us think that there is a better placement for our child than this school.

As a prospective family, it is important to thoroughly understand the occult foundation of Waldorf education and research Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy. We feel that we have been misled because the school did not disclose this information upfront. Upon closer examination, we have come to realize that this system, which claims to be progressive, is actually deeply rooted in rigid dogmas. The curriculum is built upon Steiner's concepts of the soul's successive stages of incarnation. This approach often leads to a lag of one to two years behind the State curriculum, and it does not place a strong emphasis on early literacy development. Furthermore, the school's observance of religious rituals should be carefully considered. Despite claims of inclusivity, it is disheartening to observe a significant lack of diversity among both the faculty and students.

Amazing school! Using Rudolf Steiner's idea's to form curriculum that meets the child in their development. Band, strings, handwork (knitting, crochet, sewing etc...), foreign language, painting, art and games that tie in to the curriculum are just some of the special classes that supplement the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic .
