Both of my kids are thriving at this school. The staff is focused and accommodating. Teachers have been very thorough with their evaluations of our kids, and have offered excellent ideas on ways we can help them improve where needed. The principal is accessible and willing to help anywhere she can.Security is good— I feel safe having my children at this school. Over all, a very good experience.

My children attend this school and I've had wonderful experiences with the administration and staff. I took the initiative to get to know them, and it has helped me understand how the school operates and what procedures and plans it has in place. My son is at a very high level and every one of his teachers has taken the time to differentiate his homework so he is working at the next level on challenging subjects for him. They have all been responsive to my questions and concerns. I completely feel the teachers and staff have my students' best interests at heart. I'm so glad they attend this school and I'm glad I've formed relationships with those who work there.

I am a first year teacher and I came to this school with high hopes of great teamwork, a staff that takes initiative, and a pleasant working environment. Needless to say, the exact opposite happened and it seems some staff members I've spoken with have brushed it off, making it their norm, becoming indifferent. I find that very unacceptable. Responsibilities seem to be pushed to others, creating a 'that's not my job' mentality. As a school staff, we should be looking out for each other not leaving every man for themselves.

We tried this school and it was awful. The teacher didn't communicate absences with parents well at all, the work was boring and worksheet driven and my child hated going. The principal was less than helpful, and when my child was bullied on the playground, we left the school and enrolled in a private school which is so much better, I can't even begin to explain. My child wakes and gets dressed without prompting and begs to go to school now. I wanted to like Morningside, since I attended this school as a child.

My kids attended this school two years ago and although their teachers were okay (not fabulous though), I was dissatisfied with the school overall. Lots of problems on the playground, poor supervision, lots of kids involved with bullying. But the principal was the worst---he did not deal with the outside (recess, etc) issues appropriately at all and school safety was continually a concern for me as a parent.
