Overall the school is okay. It is decently upkept and most of the teachers are good, however, the school rarely puts any effort or money into the experience of the students and this is not due to a lack of money but simply twisted priorites.

The school still has a long way to go to instill the correct values for students and to ensure that students are ready for life after high school.

This is school is terrible and I will be removing my daughter from it. As mentioned by other parents they cater to the students of teachers that work for Pitman or within the district. Teachers show deep favoritism for those students and athletes. The math teachers are a joke who do not even know how to teach their classes. The student body activities are run by the elite few popular kids who make it a point to exclude anyone that isn't a part of their crowd. I will not be sending my daughter back next year, or my other daughter or son in the future. Which is a loss for the school, because my kids are hardworking, studious, innovative and most importantly kind. Pitman can keep and continue to churn out the bullies they so love and cater to.

Anything would be better. Moved from out of state. Curriculum is way behind other states. They should be embarrassed by what they teach. Teachers are not in the students corner and could care less. AP History teacher and Mr. Young are awesome. All other staff should be fired. Teachers and administrators bully the kids!

I graduated from Pitman in '13, its is a wonderful school. The staff and teachers are all amazing people, I'm not sure where these other reviews are getting there info, because my 4 years were absolutely wonderful. I was a choir kid all 4 years, no sports for me, and it was amazing.

If I could I would not even give it a star. I am disgusted on reading the way the staff and teachers treat the kids. They should all get canned and have ROBOTS take their place, they can't get treated any worse.

Pitman high school looks great from the outside, nice, new, & big. But the teachers and counselors are awful. I have never heard of such things going on in a classroom, teachers not teaching, instead going through the kids lunches and taking what they want. My child has video taped some of this. This school needs to clean house on it's teachers and office staff. In which the office ladies look like they are leaving campus and heading for a club, its not cute at all! I'd put a inter district transfer in and go across town to Turlock High School.

TERRIBLE SCHOOL. Administration is arrogant & treats children like pure GARBAGE! If you go to the school to talk with them about a problem they hide in their office like cowards, and call you on the phone instead. I COMPLETELY agree with the other parent who said her children were treated like unruly cattle. If your kid doesn't have parent who works at the school, you can forget going here. Kids whose parents that are teachers here are majorly favored over everyone else. The reason their test scores are going down is because they accept practically all interdistrict transfers who don't care about school, which is why it is no longer a distinguished school. The rules in the student handbook are beyond stupid, most not even enforced. The only one they care about is cell phones. Academics at this school? Waste of time. My kids are in college and feel high school didn't prepare them at all for college. The only thing this school cares about is the 49er QB who graduated from here which they take WAY too much credit for. Think long & hard before sending your kids here, especially if you have a choice of sending them to a better school.

Great school UNLESS your student is special needs, then they target them and treat them like garbage. Its shameful, they hide behind their academic stuff while their special needs students suffer! If you aren't into sports or have a special needs student DON'T enroll in this school, your child will suffer!
